Best 2007 Honda Odyssey Hitch Options

Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options on our 2007 Honda Odyssey. Now the hitch on the top of our rack here is going to be the CURT class three, part number C13068, followed by the Draw-Tite class three Max-Frame hitch, part number 75270. Our third hitch is going to be the CURT class two, part number C12031. The hitch on the bottom's going to be the Draw-Tite class two, part number 36417. Now you're going to notice that we have a difference in hitches here. The top two are going to be class three hitches, where these bottom two are going to be class two. That's going to give you 2" openings on our class threes and 1-1/4" on our class twos. more

Today on our 2007 Honda Odyssey we're going to install and take a look at the Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch Receiver, class 2 with an 1 1/4" opening, part number 90153. This is what our hitch looks like installed on our Honda Odyssey, as you can see, nice square tube construction. It goes to the side brackets on each side. Heavy duty welds, it has a nice black powder coat finish so that's going to resist rust and corrosion. It is 1 1/4" by 1 1/4" opening, class 2 hitch, it does have a 1/2" hitch pin hole. Easy access to your chain hold downs for your safety chains on your trailers. more

Today our 2007 Honda Odyssey, we are going to install the Curt inch and a quarter trailer hitch receiver number C12031. This is what the Curt trailer hitch looks like installed on your Honda Odyssey. As you can see it has a nice round tube design that connects to the side brackets and it goes from one side to another. It has a nice black powder coat finish that's going to resist rust and corrosion, and one of the best things about this hitch is you just use well nuts and one carriage bolt into the frame of your vehicle to install it. Here on the front you have your inch and a quarter opening, your half inch pinhole, so you put your pin in whatever accessory you're towing. You also have access to your chain hold downs here. This hitch is rated at 350 pounds tongue weight and 3500 pounds of towing capability. more

Today on our 2007 Honda Odyssey we are going to install and take a look at the Draw-Tite Trailer Hook Receiver Class 2 with an 1-1/4" opening, part #36417. This is what our hitch looks like installed on our Honda Odyssey. As you can see, nice square tube construction, same goes to the side brackets on each side, heavy duty welds and has a nice black powder coat finish that's going to resist rust and corrosion. It has an 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" opening, class hitch and does have a 1/2" pitch pin hole. Easy access to your chain hold downs for your safety chains on your trailers. It is rated at 300 pounds of ton weight and 3500 pounds of towing capabilities. You always want to double check your manufacturer's specifications for your vehicle and you want to go with whatever is lowest between your vehicle and the hitch. more

Today in this 2007 Honda odyssey will be installing a hidden hitch part number 87479. Next well go ahead and give you a couple of measurements this is what are hitch looks like once it is installed from the center of a hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 5 inches from the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 12 and three quarter inches this will assist you in selecting accessories such as a draw bar, a bike rack or a cargo carrier now lets go ahead with the installation our first step is going to be to lower the exhaust there are two rubber ice slathers that it need to be remove to o this well first spray them down with some spray lubricant and then remove the rubber from the ice hanger. Alright now with the exhaust hangers remove well now move on to our attachment points were going to have three on each sides. Each of this attachment points will be a well nut in the frame heres a rear most of the attachment points are center and the forward most attachment points. Before we try and install our hitch and new hardware. We want to go ahead and clean each one of this well nut out over time theyll build up with dirt, dust and debris and become corroded with rust. more

Today on this 2007 Honda Odyssey we're going to be installing Curt Hitch part number C13068. Starting off over here on the drivers side of the vehicle, we're going to be using three attaching points. We're going to be using the two rear most weld nuts here at the end of the frame. And if you follow a little bit forward you see we've got three existing holes. We're going to be using the middle one as our third and final attaching point. And that's going to be the same on the passenger's side of the vehicle. more
