Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Ford Flex- Video
Today on our 2014 Ford Flex we're doing a test fit of the CURT 20 by 48 cargo carrier. That part number is C18110. Now this is designed to work with 2" hitches as well as 1-1/4". It has a weight capacity of 300 pounds. Although it does have a pretty high weight capacity, it is lightweight so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. First thing we're going to do is take a few measurements here. We're going to start off with our ground clearance. more

Today on our 2014 Ford Flex, we're doing a test fit of the Curt 20 by 60 cargo carrier. It's designed to work with two-inch hitches and has a capacity to hold up to 500 pounds. The first thing we'll do is take a few measurements. We'll get our ground clearance first. We're going to have about 12 inches of clearance there. That's because we have those great raised shank in the back which is going to lift that carrier up even higher than the ground and give you lots of clearance. more

Today on our 2014 Ford Flex, we're doing a test fit of the Stromberg Carlson 23 by 60 cargo carrier. It has a 500-pound weight capacity. This is designed to work with 2-inch hitches. First thing we'll do is take a few measurements here. First is going to be our ground clearance. We're going to go to the bottom of this bolt here, just under the carrier, we're going to have about 7 1/2 inches of ground clearance down there. more

Today on our 2014 Ford Flex, we're going a test fit of the Lets Go Aero Gear Cage, part number HCR222. Dimensions are 48 by 32 with a 300-pound weight capacity. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements here. Our ground clearance will be first. Just under, we have about 8 inches. It's going to be right under there is going to be our ground clearance from the back. more

It has a capacity to hold up to 500 pounds, and it's designed to work with 2-inch hitches. The first thing we're doing is taking our ground clearance measurement here. The bottom of the carrier, we have about 9-3/4 inches. Overall to the back of the vehicle, we're adding about 35-1/2 inches. Our closest point is going to be about 14-3/4 inches. more

Today on our 2014 Ford Flex we're doing a test fit of the Curt 24x60 Folding Cargo Carrier Part Number C18153. This cargo carrier has the capacity to hold up to 500 pounds. The first thing we'll do is take a few measurements here. The ground clearance is going to be first. We've got about 11-3/4" down here. That's because we have the nice raised shank in the back which is going to lift the cargo carrier up even higher than the ground. Now we'll go ahead and check our overall. more

Today on our 2014 Ford Flex, we're doing a test fit of the Carpod 23 by 47 walled cargo carrier, part number M2205. This is designed to work with 2 inch hitches and has a capacity to hold up to 450 pounds. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements here. Our ground clearance will be first. To the bottom of the carrier, we have about 15 inches. It's because we've got that nice raised shank in the back, so it's going to lift that carrier up. more
