Best 2008 Honda Odyssey Hitch Options

Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options on our 2008 Honda Odyssey. Now the hitch on the top of our rack here is going to be the CURT class three, part number C13068, followed by the Draw-Tite class three Max-Frame hitch, part number 75270. Our third hitch is going to be the CURT class two, part number C12031. The hitch on the bottom's going to be the Draw-Tite class two, part number 36417. Now you're going to notice that we have a difference in hitches here. The top two are going to be class three hitches, where these bottom two are going to be class two. That's going to give you 2" openings on our class threes and 1-1/4" on our class twos. more

Today on our 2008 Honda Odyssey, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Curt Custom Fit Class 2 Trailer Hitch Receiver. This offers an 1 1/4 opening. It's part #C12031. Here's what our hitch is going to look like installed. As you can see it's a nice full cross tube it really beefs up the look of the back of the van. It's round, smaller in diameter than with some of the Class 3s and stuff like that would be. more

Today on this 2008 Honda Odyssey were going to install part number 87479 from Hidden Hitch. This is what the hitch looks like when its installed on the van. Next well give you some measurements that will help you out in selecting some accessories, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be 12 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about five and a quarter inches. Now Ill go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2008 Honda Odyssey - Draw-Tite 36417

Today we are going to be installing hitch part number 36417 from Draw-Tite on a 2008 Honda Odyssey. We are underneath the vehicle now and we are looking at the driver's side frame rail. As you can see here at the end, we have two existing weld nuts in the frame that we are going to be using as the two attaching points for the trailer hitch. And then over here on the passenger's side, we have the same two weld nuts that are also going to provide the attaching points. And you can see, we do have the exhaust in the way, so we are going to want to lower that down first. To do that, we are going to remove it off of the rubber hanger here at the rear position and then here at the more forward position, almost in the middle of the vehicle. more
