SportRack Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe

Today on our 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Sport Rack Vista, Rooftop Mounted Cargo Basket, part number SR9035. This basket's going to be 44 inches long, 39 1/8 inches wide, have a depth of 6 inches and with it's sturdy steel construction, is going to offer a 110 lb. weight capacity. As you can see, we already have two of our feet in place on the front cross bar and one in place on the back passenger side of the back cross bar. First thing you're gonna need to do when you place it up on your vehicle, is place the spacer, that you see here, in between the basket and the crossbar. Next, you'll take your u-shaped bracket, that looks like so, place that over top of the spacer, sandwiching the basket in between that spacer and that spacer. Then take your U-shaped bolt, which the two threaded ends and nice protective rubber coating, passing that up though the bottom underneath the cross bar to where the threads come out the top of the top spacer. more

Thule Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe

Today on our 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Canyon Rooftop Mounted Cargo Basket. It's gonna be part number TH859. This basket is going to be 49 inches long, 40 inches wide, have a depth of 6 inches, and with its sturdy steel construction is gonna offer a 150 lb weight capacity. The crossbars that it's resting on, and the body of the vehicle, just check to make sure that you're within the specifications of all the weight ratings when you place items up top. All right, another thing that I'm gonna add for this basket in particular, you'll see that at each of the feet have two allen bolts securing the clamp that you can adjust from end to end. Make sure that you adjust these to the center by center crossbar spread. There's a little hole in the center right here. Just get the spread from there to the one in the front, and get that all centered up before you get it put up on the vehicle. It'll make it a lot easier for installation, and real quick, because then all you'll need to do is take your U-bolt, place two washers on it, and two wing nuts, slide it up underneath, place one washer, one wing nut on each of those slots, and tighten it down. Once you got it tightened down, take the cover .. Notice the one side with the two little fins coming off it with the little square in the middle That's going to fit over the flange that's sticking out on the one side. more
