Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Speaker 1: Today in our 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be test fitting the Rino Rack roof mounted steel cargo basket, part number RMCB. The Rino Rack roof basket is great for carrying a wide variety of objects on your roof, such as your luggage, your camping gear, or even the sporting good equipment you may have, so you can keep it out from the inside, and keep your inside clean.The overall dimensions are going to be 47 and 3/16s inches long by 35 and 3/8 inches wide, by 5 and a half inches deep. The max crossbar spread center to center you can have for this is going to be 30 inches with the minimum being 21 inches. The max weight capacity for this basket is 165 pounds, but you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual and roof rack system to make sure the weight is going to be safe for your roof rack.The straps are sold separately, however you can find them on etrailer.com to tie down your gear.With everything installed, we're not going to have an issue of clearance between our basket and our hatch, as you can see here. A lot of that's due to the fact that we have fixed mounts as far as our roof rack system is concerned. With everything strapped down, I'd also like to point out that there are multiple tie down points that you can utilize to hold your gear in place while you travel.It's very easy to install, it simply clamps around your existing roof rack system. more
