Today on our 2009 GMC Sierra 2500 HD we're going to be doing a test fit of the TracRac TracOne. This is going to be your bed-mounted ladder rack system. It's going to have an 800 pound weight capacity, sturdy aluminum construction, and as you can see, it's going to fit on the vehicle quite nice. We're going to show you how to place the feet on the other side as well as talk about how these are adjustable to different bed widths, and your caps if you have them on the sides. We'll go ahead and drop down the tailgate and I'll show you how to place on the brackets that you're going to need to put it in place. You're going to have your c-clamps with the bolt on the bottom side, which is going to be an Allen screw. Then you're going to have your plate that will go on and sit on the top of that. more

All right, let's go ahead and take a look at construction. First off, aside from the plastic caps on top, this is all aluminum construction, so it doesn't add too much weight to your vehicle and it is very easy to install. Okay, you know the shape of the ladder rack, it has an elliptical design, so it helps cut down on wind noise going down the road. All right, let's get a couple of quick measurements. You can see it's going to be fully adjustable with the thumb screws on either side so you can get the exact bar overhang on both sides and get it fully adjusted. It's going to have a couple of nice features with it. It's going to come with your 4 cleats on either side to tie things down as well as your locking blocks on top and also the ability to mount your toolbox on top of the rail system. You'll see it'll come with your extra 2 clamps and all your hardware to thread down the flat washers and bolts through the top of your toolbox. Very simple and easy to put on, it'll come with your extra set of clamps, 2 extra set of clamps, your bottom brackets as well as your flat washer and bolt to go through your toolbox. more

Today on our 2015 Ford F-250, we're going to be a test fit of the Thule Xsporter Pro. This is going to be your adjustable height ladder rack for the back of your vehicle. Now, what we're going to do, is we're going to put it up on the back of the vehicle. As you can see, we've already got one in place. We're going to put the other one up into place so you can see what it's going to look like once it's done, and how it's all assembled. The front is going to go on the same way as the back, just in a different place. It's going to be part number TH-500-XT. Let's go ahead and put this one up into place, and we'll show you how it goes. Once you get it up onto the back of the vehicle (or beforehand) you can place your rubber mats underneath to protect the bed. If you don't have a plastic rail, I'd suggest putting those down beforehand. more

Thule Ladder Racks Review - 2015 Ram 1500- Video
Today on our 2015 RAM 1500 Quad Cab we're going to be installing the Thule Xsporter Adjustable-Height Truck Bed Ladder Rack and that is part number TH500XT. We already have our ladder rack pretty much fully installed on our truck but we wanted to show you the last clamp before it goes on. We've got all the parts laid out here. It's going to come with four of these rubber pads that will go underneath the feet of the rack, one for each foot. It's also going to come with eight of these clamps, two for each foot but each side is going to have one with this extra bracket and this is for the lock which you'll put each side, one for each bar. That lock, which is this piece here is just going to slide over the top there, secures with this key which is included and that's going to cover this Allen bolt so no one can take that off and leave with all your stuff. It's also going to come with eight of these little flanges that will go over the bolt to disperse that pressure as this gets tightened down so it doesn't cause any damage to your bed lining or your truck itself. It's just going to disperse that weight a little more evenly. With that it's also going to come with these two Allen bolts, this larger one is going to fit the bolt for the clamps as well as we come over here to the actual rack. more

TracRac TracONE Ladder Racks Review - 2015 Ram 1500- Video
Today on our 2015 Ram 1500, we're going to be doing a test fit of the TracRac TracONE Bed Mounted Ladder Rack System, it'll be part number TA2700-01. As you can see, we got it laid out here on the table and we already have one installed so you can see what it looks like in the bed of the truck. We're going to go about putting it altogether and installing it on the truck and I'll go through the parts. For each rack, you're going to have two rubber strips that are going to go underneath of the ends against your bed rail in case if you have a naked bed rack or bed rail and you don't have any caps or a bed liner. That way it protects your paint. Then, you're going to have your clamps, your C-clamps that will go over the ends, and if you look down here, I'll show you just how they go on. You'll have a flat piece here and then you'll have your C-clamp, normal style, but you'll have to set it above three threads up, place it over the bed rail before the rack, place the end on, and then slide it under the bed rail and where it meets up. I think it'll thread it in. You'll have two clamps for each side and then also I'll go over how to adjust it. more

Today on our 2012 Ford F-250, we'll be doing a test fit of the Thule Exporter Pro. This is going to be your bed-mounted ladder rack system, with a 450 pound weight capacity, and be sturdy aluminum constructed. As you can see up top, you also get your stops for your cargo. Those are steel brackets with a twist knob to tighten then down. These are fully adjustable with height, and simply to do that, all you're going to do is get your measure for the top peak of your cab down to your bed. Then I'll tell you on the inside of these, if we can turn to that one right there, you'll see all the numbers here. That will be however tall it is. more

Today on this 2012 Ram 3500 crew cab, we're going to install part number TA21000-03-02. This is the TracRac SR sliding truck bed ladder rack with the over the cab extension. First thing we need to do is go ahead and get the base rail ready for the truck. We already have our passenger's side installed and this is our rail right here. There's a wedge that goes underneath it to keep the rail level and then there's additional hardware inside the stake pocket of the bed that we'll show you on our second rail. TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack Installation on a 2008 Ford F-150- Video
Today a 2008 Ford F150 Super Crew Cab we're going to install part number TA21508-02-02. This is a tracrac SR sliding truck bed ladder rack with the over the cab extension. Now, first step to get our truck ready so we can install is to install our base rails. Base rail has a hole in it that lines up with the stake pockets that are in the truck. There are stake pockets here and there's one up towards the front here. However, on our truck there's no covers for the stake packets. more

TracRac Truck Bed Ladder Rack Review- Video
Today we're going to review part number Ta37003. This is a TracRac Pro2 Truck Bed Ladder Rack. We have our TracRac already installed on a truck to give you an idea of what it looks like. Now we have our rack spaced out as far as possible, but you can move it together or as far as needed as long as you maintain the minimum spacing required for the clamps. As you can see, the rack only clamps into place. There's no drilling required. Also, the kit comes with an additional clamp if you want to use it for a toolbox mount. Basically, if you want to add a toolbox on top of the clamps, you would put this in place, open the additional clamp. more

TracRac Pro2 Truck Bed Ladder Rack Installation - 2013 Ford F-250- Video
Today on a 2013 Ford F-250 Super Duty, we're going to install part number TA37003. This is a TracRac Pro 2 Truck Bed Ladder Rack Systemn for Super Duty pick-ups. One thing about our TracRac here is this actually will fit for a variety of vehicles. So to start off we already have our bars put together; one good tip, really good while you put in together is actually get a measurement, from the inside edge where you going to roughly put it to the other side edge. Put that on the garage or floor, and then build it up to that measurement then you can go ahead and put it on your truck. With that out of the way, let's go ahead and put our pads on in the place. For these they may go underneath for TracRac. What I'm doing is I am actually putting on the edge of the pad right up to the edge of the rail here. We found out that on testing in that we have to scoot it back enough to get enough room for our clamps. So let's have a certain amount of space. So let's put one on each side. Let us go ahead put our first TracRac in to place. We got to passenger side sitting in the place. Well just squeeze the driver's side in just a little bit. Make sure it's square with the truck. Now and go ahead and put our clamps in the place. more

TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack Installation - 2009 Ford F-150- Video
Today on our 2009 Ford F150 Super Cab, we're going to be installing the TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack with over the cab extension, part number TA21501-02-02. Here's what our TracRac sliding truck bed ladder rack with the overhead cab extension installed looks like installed on our vehicle. We've already got a ladder installed on it and you may notice that there's some red straps that we have that are helping to secure the ladder to the ladder rack. These are sold separately and in this case, we're just using some simple cam buckle style tie-down straps. The ones that we're using are part number 05605. In addition to the top tie-down plate, it is adjustable or anchor point. We also have this tie-down plates here secured to the uprights. more

Today on our 2014 Ram 1500, we're going to be test fitting the Rolla Bed Mounted Ladder Rack System. This offers a 400 pound weight capacity. It's part number is 59742. To begin our test fit, we've already got the front half of the rack installed, so we'll show you how to do the rear half. We'll essentially place the ladder rack here under the bed rails of our vehicle. We need to find a fixed point on both sides to use, that way we're sure we have the bases of our rack in line with one another. This is a nice rubber coated piece of angle that's going to fit over your bed rail nicely and that rubber is going to protect it from any scratches or dents. more

Today we're going to be taking at the Detail K2 Flip Rack. This is a combination headache bar and ladder rack setup. It's part number is K2 TFR150. The first feature I would like to show you here is the flip down ladder rack is in a stored position now. Today on this 2014 Ford F150, were going to install part number TA21000-02-02. This is a TracRac Ladder Rack.To start off, well go ahead and work with the base rails first. Then well go ahead and mark our holes that will get our hardware for our specific truck. These hole locations are located in the instructions.Insert one plastic washer into each 3-inch socket head cap screw. Insert the socket head cap screws through the rail holes that we marked. On the opposite side, thread the bolt through a 1/8-inch rubber spacer. more

Rola Pick Up Ladder Rack Review- Video
Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Rola Pickup Rack, part number 59742. This rack is a great way to carry items above your truck bed while freeing up your truck bed for other items. It attaches to the truck bed with these black C clamps which are tightened down using a wrench. The base which rests on the rails of the pick up truck bed are coated in a rubber paint to protect your truck's finish. The Rola rack can be easily adjusted by loosening up the two bolts on the other side of the crossbar. This can adjust for different truck bed widths as well as being able to adjust to different truck bed lengths. more

Well begin our test fit by laying our rubber pads onto the bed rails of our pickup truck. Now were going to take the front part of our ladder rack and place it onto our pads. We do want to make sure that both feet are in line with each other so well find a fixed point on our bed rail and set each side according to that fixed point. Depending on the width of your truck bed, you may need to adjust your arms. Theres 2 allen bolts on each arm here at the top that connects to our crossbar. You can loosen those up and slide your arm as needed to adjust the width of your arms. more

TracRac T-Rac G2 Truck Bed Ladder Rack Installation - 2013 Ford F-250- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford F250, well be test fitting the Tracrac T-Rac G2 Truck Bed Ladder Rack for Ford Super Duty and Dodge Ram rated at 800 rounds, part number TA30000-03. With everything all assembled according to the included instructions, well begin or test fit by placing the front part of the ladder rack onto the front of our truck bed. Here at the cab you want to make sure that the feet, which rest along the bed rails, are facing the tailgate of the pickup truck. With the front part of the rack in place we can then measure the over hung of the top bar making sure it is equal on both sides. Once weve established this measurement, we can then tighten down the bolts using the included on wrench to secure the upright mass in place. Now with this down we can use the C clamps, which we will insert the bolt through the bottom of the C clamp as well as a silver bracket, which will rest on the underside of the bed rail. Well place the C clamps into the channels on the bottom part of the rack, which rests on the bed rail. more

Today on our 2002 Toyota Tundra well be test fitting the Yakima Bedrock Truck Bed Cargo Rack for Midsized Trucks part number Y01140-66. Well begin our test fit by placing the front bar onto the front of our bed. Well adjust the towers to fit the width of our truck bed and then using the included Allen wrench to screw them in place. Well then place our rear bar onto the rear of our bed and again adjust the towers to fit the width of our truck bed. Well then go ahead and measure the spread of the rails to make sure that they are parallel. This will make it easier when loading up our accessories. more

TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack Review - 2013 Dodge Ram Pickup- Video
Today on our 2013 Dodge Ram 1500, we'll be test fitting the TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack rated at 800 pounds, part number TA27000-01. Now with our TracRac already assembled as stated in the included instructions, we'll begin our test fit by placing the rubber plates onto the truck's bed rail. You'll need to place one at each corner of the bed rail. We'll then place the front part of the ladder rack onto the front part of the truck bed, following with the back part of the ladder rack on the back part of the truck bed. We can now loosen up some of the Allen bolts on the underside of the support bar to adjust the support arms to fit the width of the truck bed. This will ensure that the C clamps as well as the ladder rack is fitted correctly onto the truck's bed rails. more

Thule Xsporter Truck Rack Installation - 2012 Ford F-150- Video
Today on our 2012 Ford F-150, we're going to install the Thule Xsporter Truck Bed Rack, part number TH422XT. First, we're going to need our four upright supports and our upright rails, and we're going to assemble them together. We'll insert our upright rails into the upright support and line up the slots. Once you have the slot lined up, you can close the cam handle, securing the upright rail into the support. We'll assemble all four of the upright rail assemblies. DeWalt Ladder Rack Installation - 2005 Ford F-150- Video
Today on this 2005 Ford F150 Long Bed, we're going to be installing the Dewalt Industrial Grade Steel Truck Rack, part number DIGFFR360. Before we actually get started installing the truck rack system, we need to do a little bit of pre-assembly. And the first thing we need to do is just to figure out which side rail setup we need for our particular truck, so you want to go ahead and measure the length of the bed first and per the instructions, you determine the setup that you need for the side mounting rails. Now, the particular setup we're using today is a long bed and its a 99-inch bed, so we're going to need not only the long base rail, but two of the short base rails as well which when installed, this is going to look something like this. We can go ahead and start aligning the long base rail and what we want to do is go ahead and center it on the side rail of the truck not only front to back but side to side as well. Go ahead and do that for the passenger's side rail as well. more
