Hollywood Racks Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Toyota Four Runner, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Hollywood Racks' Hitch-Mounted Cargo Carrier, that's part number: HR1485.I've already got it loaded up, just to give you a good idea of what it looks like attached to our Four Runner. Now right away I'd like to point out that this can also be in addition to the Hollywood Racks' Sport Rider SE2. This actually plugs into the back of that 2-bike rack, allowing you to carry two bikes and cargo. That part number of that bike rack is: HR1450Z.Let's go ahead and give you some dimensions. The inside dimensions are: 52 and a 1/2 inches long by 15 and 9/16ths of an inch wide, and it's 5 inches deep.As you can see, it's a basket-style design. The tubular side rails and floor are going to be easy to clean. more

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Reese Explorer cargo carrier. Now, this carrier is 24 by 60. It offers a 500 pound capacity with steel construction. And it's been designed for use with hitches that have the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. Part number is 63153. Now, the basic principle with a cargo carrier like this, is going to be to free up space inside of your vehicle for additional items.This is going to give us a lot of room to do that. more

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2012 Toyota Forerunner, we're going to be doing our testing on the Bully Cargo Carrier. That's part number CR-114N. We've already got it loaded up just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's going to work.It's going to be for two inch by two inch receivers only. Its dimensions are 47 3/8 inches long, and 19 5/8" wide. Now, our raised side rails gives us two inches of depth to our carrier. Here in the front, it has an open design, that way we can extend our cargo beyond the carrier. more

Toyota 4Runner, we'll be doing a test fit on the Curt Cargo Carrier. That's part number C18152. As you can see, it's a sizable cargo carrier. It's going to work out perfect for our 4Runner. Its dimensions are 60 by 24. We've got plenty of spots to tie down our cargo. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner c18110- Video
Today, on this 2012 Toyota Forerunner, we're going to be test fitting the 20x48 Curt cargo carrier, part number C18110. This has a 300 pound carrying capacity, and you see, look at the bottom, here, has this nice, mesh floor, which makes it a lot easier to clean. Around the borders, here, we have these tie down points, which you can use for either your ratchet straps or your bungee cords, to tie up whatever it is you may be hauling. Im going to give you a couple measurements, now, the first, being how much distance is added to the vehicle once the cargo carriers installed. Im going to go ahead and measure from the bumper, since thats the furthest point out. To this point, here, thats giving you about 30. Our ground clearance to the end of this bolt, here ... more

Stromberg Carlson Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Today on our 2012 Toyota Forerunner, we will be doing a test fit of the Stromberg Carlson Cargo Carrier, that's part number CC-100. As you can see it's a sizable carrier. It's dimensions are 23 by 60, plenty of anchor points to tie down our cargo. It has a 500 pound weight capacity, so we are good to go there. Let's go ahead and get some measurements, starting back here with our ground clearance. Looking about 17 and a half, underneath there and our closest point about 7 inches from here to our bumper. more

Carpod Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Today on our 2012 Toyota Forerunner, we'll be doing a test fit of the Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier and that's a folding cargo carrier. Part number M2205. As you can see, it's a sizable carrier. We're going to be able to put a lot of cargo in here, gives us 13 cubic feet of space. It's got a 450 lb weight capacity and it's dimensions are 23 by 47. The walled cargo carrier is held in place by a pin and clip. That's going to be part number PC3. more

It has a 500 pound weight capacity and it's for 2 inch hitches only. Now our carrier is held in place by a pin and clip. Lets Go Aero Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Female: Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner, we are going to be test fitting our Let's Go Aero gear case. A 32 by 48 cargo carrier, which is designated for a 2 inch hitch and carries up to 300 pounds. The part number is HCR222. Now if we start off with some measurements, from the ground to our lowest point, which is actually right up under here, we're going to have about 18 inches before it hits the ground. From the rear of the vehicle overall we're going to have about 41 and 1/4 inches. Coming down here, to the closest point, I'm going to have about 11 inches before it will hit the back of your vehicle. While we're down here, you can see that we do have an anti-rattle bolt, sorry pin and clip. That will help keep the cargo carrier connected to your vehicle stable, unlike some other cargo carriers, which will let it kind of shake a little bit with the regular pin and clip. Now this cargo carrier is just a sealed bottom, and you won't be able to have any dirt falling through, but no dirt's going to come up underneath there either. more

Surco Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner, we'll be test fitting the Surco 24x60 Cargo Carrier for 2-inch hitches, part number 52018. Now to begin our test fit, we'll slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our hitch pin. With the pin in, we can put the clip on the other side which will secure the cargo carrier to the vehicle. We'll now go ahead and give you a few measurements. From the closest point of the cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle is 5-1/2 inches and this cargo carrier will add an additional 31 inches of overall length to the vehicle. Our ground clearance at the back of the carrier is 16-1/4 inches and the exhaust on this vehicle does exit the passenger's side here at the rear bumper. more

Now to begin our test fit well slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install our hitch pin. Well then put the clip on the other side which will secure our cargo carrier to the vehicle. With our cargo carrier in the stored position well go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the cargo carrier is 16-1/4 inches and from the closest point of the cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle in the stored position is 3 inches. Well now go ahead and pull the pin here at the base of the cargo carrier and bring the cargo carrier platform down. more

Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner well be test fitting the Curt 20x48 Cargo Carrier for both 1-1/4 and 2-inch hitches part number C18145. Now to begin our test fit well slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our cargo carrier is secured to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. From the closest point of our cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle is 5-1/2 inches. Our cargo carrier will add an additional 25 inches of overall length to the vehicle. more

We can then put the clip on the other side which will secure our cargo carrier to the vehicle. At this point, we'll give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the cargo carrier is 15 inches and from the closest point of the cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle is 4 inches. We can now pull the pin here at the base of the cargo carrier which will allow us to unfold the cargo carrier platform. more
