Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best brake controllers available for the 2016 Ford F-150. Now all of the brake controllers that we're going to look at today are proportional controllers. It's a newer technology available and it really is just a lot better than what the time-delayed systems used to be. Basically, with the time-delayed system it was preprogrammed when your brakes would engage. You'd hit the brake in your vehicle, there might be a pause before the brakes on your trailer actually engage. With the proportional controller, we don't have to worry about that. more

Today on our 2016 Ford F-150, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller. This proportional brake controller works for one up to three axles. Part number on it is TK90160. We're also going to be using the Tekonsha Brake Controller Adapter. This part number is 22292. Here's our brake controller once we have it installed. The Primus IQ is a proportional brake controller. more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2016 Ford F-150 39510- Video

Today on our 2016 Ford F-150 we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Tekonsha Voyager trailer brake controller. This proportional brake controller works for one up to four axles. The part number is 39510. We'll also be using the Tekonsha pigtail for brake controllers, part number 22292. The Voyager's going to be a proportional brake controller. What this means is that it's going to activate based on, or proportionally to how our vehicle is braking. more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2016 Ford F-150 90195- Video

Today on our 2016 Ford F-150 we're going to show you how to install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3. This is a proportional trailer brake controller, works for one up to four axles, part number on it is 90195. To complete our install we're also going to use the Tekonsha plug in wiring adapter, part number on that 22292. The two buttons on the left are going to allow us to adjust up and down the maximum braking output that we want sent back to our trailer. Now this you will adjust based on road conditions, trailer weight, and things like that. The higher we've got our power or what they call gain set, the more braking force is going to be applied to the brakes on our trailer. Currently we have, you can see here it's just an icon of a small truck with a small trailer behind it. more
