Curt 5th Wheel Hitch Adapter Rails Installation - 2024 GMC Sierra 3500- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Curt fifth wheel adapter rails for factory prep Chevy and GMC trucks with the OEM prep package. And today we have it on a 2024 GMC Sierra 3500. So if you've upgraded your towing rig to something with an OEM prep package, instead of going out and buying a whole new fifth wheel that drops into that, this adapter rail is gonna allow you to use your previous fifth wheel because this gives you the ISR standard rails. And that way you can drop that fifth wheel in and you'll be ready to hit the road. Now this is also a pretty heavy duty adapter, so depending on your fifth wheel, you're obviously gonna want to take a look at all the weights and make sure that everything's playing ball. This one is rated at a gross trailer weight rating of 25,000 pounds. more

Hey guys, this is Jake here with each trailer. Today we have a 2023 GMC Sierra 3500 and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to get it in place. It's the Curt OEM 5th Wheel Adapter Rails. The nice part about this kit is that it's gonna fit directly into your puck system of many different brands but especially the '23 GMC 3500. All you have to do is lift it up, set it over top of your puck system and drop it in place. To lock it down, you simply flip these rails or these handles, insert your pin, get these three holes lined up, and then latch your pin. more

Now, if you've got the factory puck system this is definitely the easiest way to go because it's really just a drop-in system. What is going on everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today on our 2021 GMC Sierra 3500, we're gonna be taking a look at the Demco Hijacker auto sliding fifth wheel hitch kit, or your OEM prep package. This system is gonna be for you if you have the OEM puck system and you have a short bed. Basically what happens is, with these short beds, as you start turning, a lot of the ones you're gonna have to like manually release so you can slide it back. So you're not gonna have any damage happening to the cab of your truck. With this one, as it starts to rotate, it's gonna slide back automatically to prevent any contact from happening. more

So this is what our fifth wheel hitch is going to look like installed. As you can see here, we have the slider version, which is more geared towards short bed trucks. However, if you have a long bed, there's a fixed option for that as well. So this particular companion hitch here is going to be designed for models with the OEM prep package and what the OEM prep package is, it's a set of four pucks we have in the truck bed along what they say a goose neck. more

Connor: Connor here today at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at and going over the B&W Companion OEM Trailer Hitch, 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch here for our 2019 GMC Sierra 3500. Here's how our 5th Wheel Hitch is going to look like installed in our truck bed. Now, keep in mind, there are a few different versions of this hitch. We have the slider version as well as the 20K fixed version and the 25K fixed version.These are all three going to be designed for models with the factory prep package. The factory prep package is going to consist of four packs that are pre-installed in the truck bed from the factory, as well as a sinner Gooseneck opening.Now, the factory prep package allows us to have a drop-in installation for our 5th Wheel Hitch, meaning we're not going to have to worry about having any bulky rails in our bed, taking up space and causing a hassle, getting items in and out. more

Fifth Wheel Installation - 2015 GMC Sierra 3500- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 GMC Sierra 3500, we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Reese Elite Series under-bed rail and installation kit for the 5th wheel trailer hitches. Part number RP30868.Here's what the Elite Series under-bed kit looks like installed. As you can see, we've got four connections points that sit flush with the top of the bed. This, unlike most other 5th wheel systems out on the market give us full access.A lot of times what we're going to have are rails that go across the bed, which doesn't give us a nice even surface. So as we're trying to slide things in and out, they get hung up or they'll rock on top of it back and forth. This is going to eliminate that for you and also eliminates the need for you to have pieces of plywood to take up those gaps or anything like that.Though not in use, you can see we've go the rubber plug. more

B and W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch with Slider Installation - 2017 GMC Sierra 3500- Video
Today on our 2017 GMC Sierra 3500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the B&W Companion OEM Fifth Wheel with Slider for Chevy and GMC Towing Prep Package, part number BWRVK3770. Here's what our fifth wheel with slider looks like when it's fully installed. And since we have a short-bed truck, it's going to allow us to tow a fifth-wheel trailer. And have enough clearance to make those turns, without having to worry about making contact with our cab. If we come to the handle right here, start in the lock position, and we can rotate it to the unlock position. Then we're going to have 12 inches of travel so the fifth wheel can go farther back towards the tailgate. We can make our turn, and then once we straighten out, we can again come to the handle, unlock it, and it'll slide back into the towing position. Now this fifth wheel slider is designed to work with the GM and Chevrolet factory prep package, and that's what these handles here are. It's just going to sit in and lock into place. more
