As you can see, you can see part of the cross tube. This is going to be a class III. It's going to be two inch by two inch. Your hitch pin hole here in the back is going to be 5/8 inch in diameter. This front hole here is going to be for J-pin stabilization device only. more

Today on our 2011 Ford Explorer, we'll be installing the Curt trailer hitch receiver in a Class 3 with a 2 inch opening, part number C13100. Here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements in helping you choose a couple accessories for your hitch, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier.From the center of thehitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper is approximately 4 1/2 inches. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground is approximately 16 1/4 inches. Now let's go ahead and install our hitch. You'll need to begin by putting a safety strap up to support our exhaust once we remove 3 exhaust hangers. Once we have the safety strap in place, we'll go ahead and use a little spray lubricantand a largepry bar to remove the 3 rubber exhaust hangers from the rear. One at each side that holds each muffler on. more
