Thule Passage Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2015 Hyundai Accent- Video
Today on our 2015 Hyundai Accent we're doing a test fit of the Thule Passage Two-Bike Rack Trunk Mount. That part number is TH-910XT. Now I have a bike on the rack already and our rack is hooked to the vehicle. I'm just going to show you a few things of it. The first thing I'd like to show is how our bike is strapped down to our vehicle. We have two straps up top, we have our anti-sway strap to the side, so we're pretty much just remove the two up top first then remove our anti-sway strap, now we can remove our bike. Now if you we're loading your bike up you would just do it the opposite way. Do the anti-sway strap first then the two up top. more

Today on our 2013 Toyota Prius C we're doing a test fit of the Thule Archway XT trunk-mounted 2-bike rack. That part number is TH9009XT. Now the first thing we're going to show you is how we connect our bike to the rack. We've got two cradles holding that in place with three straps, two on our frame here and one as our anti-sway strap in the back that's going to keep a lot of the shake and play out of the bike as you're heading down the road. We're just going to pull down and lift up to release those. We save that anti-sway strap for last. We can just pull our bike off and set it to the side. more

Thule Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2013 Toyota Prius c TH9001PRO- Video
Today in our 2013 Toyota Prius C, we're doing a test fit of the Thule Raceway Pro, 2-hanging-style, trunk-mounted bike rack. Now that part number is TH9001PRO. Now we've already got our bike, and our rack already on the vehicle, we're first going to show you how we strap our bike down. So we've got two cradles and then three straps, two on the top here, and one of those is our anti-sway strap in the back there. To remove those we're just going to pull down, and lift up. And we save the anti-sway strap for last because it does keep that bike from swinging back and forth and possibly damaging your vehicle. So we can take our bike off and set it off to the side, and a great habit to get into, anytime that you have any kind of straps on your bike racks to always replace them. And now we can take a few measurements. With our arms hanging out here, we're going to add about 27 inches to the back of our vehicle. Now we do have the option, if we're parking in close-quarters parking spots we'll want a little storage, we can lift up on our grey level here on the arm, and fold those down. more

Thule Archway Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2015 Fiat 500- Video
Today on our 2015 Fiat 500 we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Archway XT. This is going to be your two-bike carrier that mounts of the trunk of your vehicle, part number TH9009XT. It will fasten with six of these cam locks and hooks, one on each side and two on the top, as well as two on the bottom. There is a nice rubber coating over it so when you slide it over through the cracks, whether it's on your trunk or on the side here, then it won't scratch your paint or damage the vehicle. They do come with extra-long straps, so always make sure to tie up that excess and fasten down and tighten all your cam locks. To tighten up your cam locks, you just simply pull on one end, pulling the excess out. If you pull here, then you can simply pull out that excess on this side. Once you have it tight and secure, fasten up and secure all your excess. Up top here you'll see this long shaped lever. more

I'll show you how it's all put together. First steps when you get your rack and you pull it out, after you get all your straps connected and everything, is to get onto the Thule Fit Guide and find out on the Thule website, go to their fit guide and find out what setting you need to set your rack at. For this particular one we're going to have to set it at 10 and to do so, I'll show you how. If you look on the backside here you'll see 2 clamps and this will be on that upper arm. Today we're going to be reviewing the Thule Raceway Pro, 2-Bike, Trunk Mounted Bike Rack, part number TH9001PRO. This is also available as a 3-bike rack with part number TH9002PRO. The Thule Raceway has a lot of unique features, we're going to start out with how it fits on the vehicle. It has these nice rubber padded protectors as well as the vinyl coated hooks so it's going to protect the paint and finish on our vehicle. Right here in the cradles, it's RDT technology, this is going to be Road Damping Technology providing a nice cushion ride for your bicycle. It's also going to feature your anti-sway cradles so your bikes don't make contact with one another. It's got the fully adjustable arms that way you can scoot them closer together, separate them, you can also change the angle so it's going to fit a wide variety of bikes. more

Saris Bones Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2014 Toyota Camry- Video
Today on our 2014 Toyota Camry, we are going to be test fitting the Saris Bones 3 Bike Trunk Mounted Rack part number SA801. We'll begin our test fit by placing the bottom portion of the rack, the feet here on the bumper, we'll then rotate the upper part of the rack into place. This feet do rotate also to help accommodate the fit. Now if you are going to need to adjust the arms which right now they are in a good position, you do so by undoing the wing knob here, point it out to the side, rotating them and then pushing it back into position. You could also do the same thing for the bottom arm and at the same way that the top arms also move. We'll go ahead and start securing our straps. We'll start on the driver side here as they are all connected and they are stamped as to which is the correct one. more

Today on our 2014 Toyota Camry we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Baja 2-bike trunk-mounted rack, part number HRB2. We'll begin our test fit by placing the bottom rail here with the pads on top of the bumper, centering it. We'll then rotate it forward. As you can see, our bars here are going to come into contact so we do need to adjust by opening these levers here on either side. Then we're going to rotate our arms so that they're level or at a slight incline. As you can see, this is going to give us more space here as well. more

Today on our 2014 Toyota Camry we're going to be test fitting the Thule Gateway 2-bike truck-mounted rack, part number TH9006XT. We'll begin our test fit by placing our rack on top of the vehicle. With this rack you want to position the lower mounts just on top of the bumper and then you can kind of roll the upper mounts into place. Now we went ahead and preset the fit notch to seven per the fit guide. We'll then go ahead and take our straps that go over top of our trunk and get those into place. Want to make sure that they're not twisted. Okay, with those into place we'll go ahead and understood all of our slack that we've got tied up out of the way and get these nice and snug. more

The lower portion is going to go just on the top of the bumper and then we'll rack our our top arms up. Now, we went ahead and preset the fit dial to 7 for the fit guide so that part is already done. We'll take our top straps and feed them to hook onto the top of the trunk. Same thing over here. We will just get them tighten down just slightly so it will hold it in place. more

Today on our 2014 Toyota Prius C, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Archway. This is a trunk mounted to back rack. It's part number is TH9009XT. We also have this available in a three bike configuration, that part number is TH9010XT. See the bottom of the pads here are ribbed, we want those ribs to be onto the paint surface. It's going to let dirt and debris kind of run out of there in case any gets under there, it gets trapped. We'll then place the upper pads onto our rear windshield. The lower pads go right under the top here of the bumper. more

Thule Passage Trunk Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2014 Ford Taurus- Video
Today on our 2014 Ford Taurus, we'll be testing the Thule Passage Trunk Mounted Two Bike Rack, Part number TH910XT. We'll begin our test fit by placing the bottom part of the truck rack onto the upper tier of the rear bumper. Now, we'll need to set the fit down to number 8, which is customized to fit the trunk. We'll need to remove the two black wing nuts on the inner left and right hand part of the bike rack. We'll raise the top arms up, lining up the holes in fit dial, and then re-installing the wing nut. We can now put the top clips on the upper edge of the trunk, and then the side clips on the side of the trunk just above the tail lights, as well as the bottom clips to the bottom part of the trunk. Now you will need to open up the trunk to get the side and bottom clips in place. You want to tighten down the left hand side and the right hand side just a little bit at a time to make sure the rack stays centered on the trunk. more

Yakima QuickBack 2 Bike Rack Review - 2014 Ford Taurus- Video
Speaker: Today on our 2014 Ford Taurus, well be test fitting the Yakima QuickBack Trunk Mounted 2 Bike Rack, part number Y02621. Well begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicles trunk, making sure the bottom part of the bike rack is on the upper tier of the rear bumper and the top part of the bike rack is on the center of the trunk. Well take the top clips and hook them on the top part of the trunk, the side clips to the side part of the trunk above the taillights and the bottom clips to the bottom part of the trunk. Well then tighten down the straps to secure the trunk rack to the vehicle. Now when tightening them down, you want to tighten down each side a little bit at a time, just to make sure the bike rack stays centered. Once everything is all tightened down and secured, well secure the excess strap with the included strap keep. We can now loosen up the red knob on the upper right-hand corner of the bike rack and swing out our cradle arms, keeping in mind the cradle arms do need to be level or slightly angled up. Once theyre in position, we can tighten on the red knob and secure them in place. more

Thule Gateway Trunk Mount Bike Rack Review - 2014 Ford Taurus- Video
Today on our 2014 Ford Taurus, we will be test fitting the Thule gateway trunk mounted 2 bike rack, part number TH9006XT. With the fit dial set to number 8, according to included instructions, we will being our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicles trunk, making sure the bottom part of the bike rack rests on the upper tier of the rear bumper, and the top part of the bike rack rests on the top part of the trunk near the rear window. With the bike rack in place, I'll take the top hooks and hook them to the top part of the trunk, and tighten down the silver cam 00:28 buckles. I'm not going to tighten the straps all the way, just using these to hold the bike rack in place. I then put the side hooks to the side part of the trunk above the taillights, and the bottom hooks to the bottom part of the trunk. Keeping in mind you may need to open up the trunk to get the clips in place. Once all 6 clips are in place, we will then tighten down the straps to secure the rack to the trunk. more

Today on our 2014 Ford Taurus, well be test fitting the Saris Bones Trunk Mounted Three Bike Rack in grey, part number SA801. Well begin our test by placing the bottom legs of the bike rack on the upper tier of the rear bumper. Well then need to adjust the top arms by loosening the black knob on the left and right hand side of the bike rack. Well make sure the top legs are about centered on the trunk. Once the knobs are loose, youll need to slide the legs off of the grooves so that you can rotate the leg to fit in position. Once you have them in position, you can tighten the black knobs to secure them in place.Now there are three types of clamps on this bike rack that are labeled. more

Today on our 2014 Ford Taurus, we'll be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Expedition Trunk Mounted 2 Bike Rack, part number HRF6-2. We'll begin our test fit by placing the bottom bar and the upper tier of the rear bumper. We'll then use the top set of black levers to adjust to fit the top bar to about the center of the trunk. We'll then lock down the levers to secure the top arm in place. We'll then take the top clips and hook them to the top bar of the trunk. Saris Bike Porter 3 Bike Rack Review- Video
Today we'll be taking a look at the Saris Bike Porter trunk mounted 3 Bike Rack part number SA313B. The Saris Porter is made of a durable steel construction. It's made in the USA and comes with a limited lifetime warranty. A couple of new things about the Saris Porter is the unique cradles. Inside the cradles is a soft rubber material and specialized grooves for your brake cables and hydraulic lines to sit in and not be damaged. This cradle here is an anti-sway cradle which is going to connect to the vertical bar of your bike and help prevent it from swaying back and forth and also coming in contact with your other bikes. The unique ratcheting strap ensures that your bike is fully secured to the rack. more

We will want to check and make sure that our bottom pad is resting directly on top of our rear bumper. We'll then take the top hooks and hook them into the leading edge of our trunk lid. We'll snug these down just a little bit to help us hold our rack in place, with the side hooks going to the side and the bottom hooks going to the bottom. With all six hooks in place we'll slowly tighten each strap to secure our rack to our vehicle. We'll then secure our excess strap. more

Thule Gateway Trunk Mount Bike Rack Review - 2014 Chevrolet Cruze- Video
Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Cruze we're going to be test fitting the Thule Gateway, a trunk mount 2-bike rack with adjustable arms, part number TH9006XT. To begin our test fit we'll first have to refer to the Thule fit guide or the included instructions to see what number we need to set our fit dial to. For this vehicle we'll set our fit dial to the number 7 and we'll go ahead and prepare to set the carrier onto the vehicle. The rear pads on the carrier should be resting directly on top of our rear bumper. We'll hook our top hooks to the front part of our trunk lid. It's a good idea to cinch these down a little bit to help hold our rack in place. We'll hook the bottom hooks to the lower part of our trunk lid and our side hooks to the side part of our trunk lid. more

Thule Passage Trunk Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2013 Jeep Patriot- Video
Today, on our 2013 Jeep Patriot, we'll be doing a quick test fit of the Thule Passage Trunk-Mounted 2-Bike Rack, part number TH910XT. We'll begin our test fit by placing the rack up onto the rear hatch, or excuse me, the rear bumper. Now, the bottom portion of the rack does need to be placed on the upper tier of the rear bumper here, and then we'll just make sure that the rack is centered onto the back windshield. Then the first thing I'm going to do is just use the top hooks and clip them to the top part of the rear hatch. This is just going to help make sure that the racks stay in place while I continue to move around the rack and install the other clips. Now, I'm not going to tighten these all the way. I'm just going to get them nice and snug, again, just to help me keep them in place. Now, the side strap and the bottom strap is all connected, so I'm going to do the side first, then come down, and actually I'm going to do the bottom. more

Thule Archway Trunk Mount Bike Rack Review - 2013 Jeep Patriot- Video
Today on our 2013 Jeep Patriot we'll be test fitting the Thule Archway Truck Mounted 2-Bike Rack, part number TH9009XT. We'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the upper tier of the rear bumper. You just want to double check and make sure that the pads are fitting right onto the bumper. Switch this one around just a little bit just to make sure it sits right. The pads are kind of elongated so if you don't have them sitting right, the rack is going to be kind of crooked and you don't' want that. Then what we'll do is we're going to take the top straps and hook them to the top part of the hatch. We'll tighten it just a little bit. more

Saris Bones RS 3 Bike Rack Review - 2014 Chevrolet Cruze- Video
Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, were going to be test fitting the Saris Bones RS, a trunk mount adjustable arm three bike rack, part number SA851B. To begin our test fit, were going to place the two bottom clips underneath the bottom edge of our trunk hood. We may need to open it to get these to slide under. Well then close our trunk. Well then pull the yellow levers located on both of the tubes. This is going to allow us to extend the rubber coated ratchet strap. more

To begin our test fit, we're going to place the bike rack directly onto our trunk lid. You will want the lower two feet to be resting directly on top of your bumper. We'll now take our upper hooks and connect them to the leading edge of the trunk lid. We'll connect the side hooks to the side of our trunk. We're going to locate them just above our brake lights. For the bottom clips, we'll connect them to the bottom of the trunk lid. We'll then tighten each strap a little bit at a time, until we have our bike rack secured to our vehicle. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, we are going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Express, a trunk mount three bike rack part number is HRE3. To begin our test fit we are going to place the bike rack directly onto our trunk lid. The lower pad of the rack should be resting on top of the rear bumper. We'll attach our top hooks to the leading edge of the trunk lid. Our side hooks will go to the side of the trunk. We are going to attach this to the metal just above the parking lights. The bottom hook will go underneath the trunk lid. Once we have our hooks in place, we'll then tighten each strap a little bit at the time to secure our bike rack to the vehicle. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Cruze we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Expedition, an adjustable arm trunk mount 2-bike rack, part number HRF6-2. To begin our test fit we're going to place our bike rack directly onto our trunk. To adjust our upper arm we're going to pull out on the upper set of black levers. This will allow us to adjust our bike rack properly. We can then secure it in place by pulling down on the black levers. We'll now place our top straps on the leading edge of our truck lid. more

Hollywood Racks Baja 2 Trunk Bike Rack Review - 2014 Chevrolet Cruze- Video
Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Baja, a trunk-mount, 2-bike rack, part number HRB2. To begin our test fit, we'll place the lower pad of the bike rack onto the top of our rear bumper. We'll then open the two black levers located on the outside of the rack and adjust our arm as necessary to fit our vehicle. Please keep in mind when we adjust this, we're going to want our cradle arms to be level or slightly angled up. We can now take the top straps and hook them to the leading edge of our trunk. The side straps will hook to the side of our trunk. The best place for these will be just above our tail lights. The bottom straps will hook underneath our trunk lid. You may need to open your trunk a little bit to give you the room to get the clips in. With all of our straps in place, we'll begin tightening them down one at a time until we have our bike rack secured to our vehicle. more
