Today in our 2017 Ford F-150, we're going to be test fitting the Thule GateMate tailgate pad and bike rack for full size trucks. Part number TH824. We already have our bike installed on it. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now normally this is how you would have the bike set up on the tailgate pad. You can fit at least one other bike on here, or you could also put say a surfboard or a stand-up paddle board. We have these points here on the top, which you can use as tie down points, which you can purchase those separately and secure your bike, or your paddle board or surfboard, to the actual tailgate pad itself. Let's go and take the bike off and set it aside. It just lifts up and off like that, very easy. Another feature about this, it has this flap here with hook and loop straps, which you can open up and have easier access to your tailgate latch like so. more
