Before we begin our test fit we will first have to obtain the hitch height of our vehicle. This is the measurement from the ground to the inside top of the receiver tube. The hitch height measurement for this vehicle is about 19 inch. Keep in mind this measurement may vary due to tire size, hitch style or other aftermarket accessories. Well now go ahead and begin our test fit in the drop position by sliding the shank of the ball mount into the opening of the hitch and securing it with the pin and clip. more

This is the measurement from the ground to the inside top edge of our receiver tube. We have a hitch height of 19-1/2 inches. Now, please keep in mind that this measurement may vary depending on tire size, accessories, and what kind of hitch you have on your vehicle. Now, we can slide the shank of the ball mount into the opening of the hitch and secure it with the pin and clip. We can rotate the shank to access the different sized balls when needed. more

Today on our 2006 Ford F150, we'll be test fitting the convertible cushion ball mount for 2-inch hitches with a 6-3/4-inch rise or 8-inch drop rated at 10,000 pounds, part number AMSC8. Before we begin our test fit, we will first obtain the hitch height of our vehicle. This is the measurement from the ground to the inside top of the receiver tube. The hitch height measurement for this vehicle is about 19-1/4 inches. Keep in mind this measurement may vary due to tire size, hitch style, or other after market accessories. We'll now begin our test fit in the drop position by sliding the shank of the ball mount into the opening of the hitch and securing it with a pin and clip. We can then measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform getting a measurement of about 10-3/4 inches. If your vehicle's hitch height matches ours and your trailer's ride height matches this measurement, this should be an appropriate ball mount for you. We can then flip the ball mount over into the rise position, repeat the same process. more

The hitch height measurement for this vehicle is about 19-1/4 of an inch. Keep in mind this measurement may vary due to tire size, hitch style, or other after-market accessories. We'll begin our test fit in the drop position by sliding the shank of the ball mount into the opening of the hitch and securing it with a pin and clip. We can then measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform getting a measurement of about 17 inches. more

To begin our test fit, we'll first need to get our hitch height measurement. This is the measurement from the ground to the inside top edge of our receiver tube. We have a hitch height of 19.5 inches. Please keep in mind that this measurement may vary, depending on tire size, accessories, and what kind of hitch you have on your vehicle. We'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch, line up the pin holes, and install our pin and clip. We'll measure from the ground to the top of our ball platform, and get a measurement of 17 inches. When measuring our trailer, you want to do so when your trailer is level. more
