Saris MHS 2 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Toyota Highlander- Video
Hi, everyone, Aidan here with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Saris MHS Platform-Style Bike Rack here on our 2022 Toyota Highlander. Now, this style of bike rack is becoming more and more popular where you've got a long tray and these two wheel hoops that are holding the bike in place. And this one actually does a really good job of holding it, partially because we've got secondary points of contact at the back wheel with this wheel strap and with this block right here that kinda wedges against the front wheel, and that's gonna keep that movement in the front wheel down to a minimum. Some other racks of this style do have a bit more bike movement, they hold them well, but for some people, that peace of mind, myself included, of seeing your bike staying still on the rack is really nice, so that's a big plus for this rack. Something else you have is the ability to tilt it away with the bikes loaded. more

Swagman XC2 2 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Toyota Highlander- Video
What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out the Swagman XC2 on a 2022 Toyota Highlander. It's gonna be a platform style bike rack, that means it's gonna hold the bike by the frame, so it does have this hook that comes down along the frame. Makes contact there, but it is padded, so you don't have to worry about it damaging the frame at all, I still wouldn't recommend putting carbon fiber bikes on there, but all the other bikes should be just fine. Let's take a second to look at how it sits on the back of the vehicle. It doesn't look like it's gonna cover up the taillights too bad, the tires cover up a small portion, you can still see it above there. more

Kuat NV 2.0 2-Bike Platform Rack Review - 2022 Toyota Highlander- Video
AJ What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be checking out the Kuat NV 2.0 on our 2022 Toyota Highlander. So we have a platform style bike rack which means the bike's gonna sit on this platform. It holds it by the tire up front and there's a strap on the back tire helping hold the bike steady and in place, which since it doesn't make any frame contact, really opens it up for all the different style bikes it can actually hold. So you don't have to worry about putting a carbon fiber bike on here because it's not going to make contact, so no damage done. One of the nice features is that you can tilt away the bike rack with the bike on there. more

Now, this rack's gonna hold the bike by the frame, hanging down like this. So it's not gonna be great for our carbon frame bikes just because it's gonna be putting a lot of pressure on the frame. Now, for me, this is one of my favorite e-bike racks for a number of reasons and we'll get into that into the video here. But as you can see, we're holding the bike down in this tray with these three wheel straps, and then up top with this clamp. It's gonna tighten down with the hand knob and is fully lockable, so it's secure when you're not around. more

So this is a really, really nice way of getting two bikes to wherever you guys are going. Now, I will say kind of fits comfortably between your kind of a medium duty applications. Why do I say that Well, we have a 40 pound capacity rating per bike, which is going to be excellent for almost all of our standard road bikes, getting up into that mountain bike range. more
