CIPA Universal Towing Mirror Installation - 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're going to be taking a look at the CIPA Universal Towing Mirrors, part number 7070. These also come in quantity of two with part number 7070-2. Now, as you can see here I'm fully visible in our factory mirror, but as I take a step out to the left, I'm no longer visible in the factory mirror, but I can be seen in our towing mirror. This is especially useful when merging onto the highway, changing lanes, or during parking maneuvers. The mirror is fully adjustable both horizontally and vertically and can be rotated, and while they're installed, you can still adjust your factory mirrors, and the breakaway function of your mirror is still going to be functional without contacting the body.It's held in place with two rubber straps located on the backside of the mirror. The rubber will prevent any scratches or abrasions and are fully adjustable for various size mirrors, and if adjusted properly the straps won't cover up your puddle lamp, so it'll still be fully functional. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're going to be installing the K-source universal towing mirrors, part number KS3891. They also come in a pair with part number KS3891-2.As you can see, I'm clearly visible in our factory mirror, but as I take a step towards the outside, I'm no longer visible in our factory mirror, but I can be seen clearly in our universal towing mirror. This is especially useful when merging onto the highway, changing lanes, and during parking maneuvers.This universal towing mirror features a convex shape, which is gonna give it a larger viewing area. It's also fully adjustable, both horizontally and vertically. While it's installed, your factory mirror can still be adjusted.The screw on the back can be removed, allowing the mirror to come out and be rotated horizontally, so you don't have to have it in the upright vertical position. The straps on the back feature thick rubber pads that'll help it stay in place and also prevent any scratches or abrasions on the back side of your mirror. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 we'll be taking a look at and show you how to install the clip-on towing mirrors, part number 7070. Now we've gone ahead and backed up to our trailer. In our factory mirror we're going to have clear visibility to the back of our vehicle though if I step out to the side we're going to lose that visibility in our factory mirror but gain it in our towing mirror. This is going to be great whenever we're trying to park our trailer or trying to pass vehicles on the road.The clip-on towing mirror is going to be fully adjustable to change our field of view and also widen our field of view by adjusting the angle of our mirror. The four tabs at the front secure around the mirror housing and the two straps in the back are going to secure it to our factory mirror. The straps at the back are made out of a rubberized material to prevent any scratches or abrasions from our towing mirror onto our factory mirror. more

The four tabs at the front of our factory mirror are going to grab around our factory mirror housing. The ratchet straps in the back are going to have a rubber coating to prevent any scratches or abrasions, and are going to give us a nice secure fit on our mirror.With our towing mirror installed, our factory mirror is able to fold in all the way to get into those tight spaces. more

If I take a few steps in towards my trailer, as you can see, there's no blind spot by the way we have it set up, but this is the view you get with just your factory mirror. The mirror itself can be adjusted to most angles. We've got our up and down, diagonal, and side-to-side. By removing the Phillips head screw through the back, we can take the mirror out and turn it to the horizontal position for a different view. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 we're going to be taking a look at and installing the CIPA Clamp-On Mirror, part number CM11980. Here I am at the back of my trailer, and you can see me clearly in our factory, but if I take a few steps away to the side you're going to lose track of me, but then you'll see me in our towing mirror. Now that's going to benefit us whether we're driving down the highway and we need to change lanes, get into a parking spot, or even pulling up at the camp ground. Now our mirror is going to feature full adjustment. We're going to be able to tilt it, whether it be up, down, left, right, or even if we need a different angle we can actually turn our mirror and get a wider angle. Now if we come up to this knob right here, if we loosen it up, we actually can get a wider view by pulling our arm out and tightening it up. Now we can much greater view and a wider angle. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 we're going to be taking a look at and installing the CIPA Clip-On Towing Mirror, part number 7070. Now here I am at the back of my trailer, clearly see me in the factory mirror, but if I take a few steps away you're going to lose sight of me in the factory mirror and I become more clear in the towing mirror. Now that's going to come in handy whether we're driving down the highway and we need to change lanes, or if we're getting into a tight spot, or parking, or even pulling up at the camp ground. The mirror's going to give us all the adjustability that we may need. It's going to be able to tilt up and down, left and right, and diagonally. Even if we want a different angle, more of a wide angle, we can actually rotate our mirror and get more of a wide angle that way. We're still going to be able to retain all the movement in our factory mirror, being able to move it up and down, left and right, and diagonally. more

Longview Custom Towing Mirrors Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're going to be taking a look at the Longview Custom Slip-on Towing Mirrors for the driver and passenger side. Part number is LVT-1800. We've backed up to a 12-foot trailer here just to give you an idea of the expanded field of view that you can expect. As you can see, this is a where our factory mirror, it's going to do all of its work right here in this area, but when that longer trailer situation arises and it starts to get behind us, that towing mirror's really going to help us out, and it's going to allow us to get out here quite a bit further, out away from the trailer, so we can see that real axle and things. This is going to help to prevent some of those times where you have to stick our head out of the window or really try to turn around in our seat to see what's going on with our trailer. K-Source Custom Snap On Towing Mirrors Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're going to review and install the K-Source Custom Towing Mirror, part number KS80910. Here's what our K-Source custom towing mirrors are going to look like when they're installed. Here we are behind the vehicle. Then, if we're going to change lanes, or possibly park, or we've got an extended towing product, we're going to need some additional width of our sight line, and that's where our custom towing mirror will pick it up. Our custom mirror itself measures approximately 4 1/4 inches in height from the center of the mirror, as it's not a perfect rectangle. Then, from here from the bottom of the mirror, it's about 3 3/4 inches wide. Now the overall total length of the mirror itself is about 16 3/4 inches, so it fits real nice and snug over top of the manufacturer's mirror. more

Cipa Slip On Custom Towing Mirrors Installation - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Today on this 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 we're going to show you the Cipa custom towing mirror, Part Number CM10951. This is for the driver's side. Also, for a passenger side on this truck, you can use Part Number CM10952. This is how a towing mirror looks like once it's installed on the factory mirror. You notice it has an edge that wraps around the very edge of the factory mirror. Now this, you'll notice, follows the same shape as the mirror that was original from the factory on the truck. The mirror is not on the ball socket on the inside, so you can actually move it in any direction you'd like. This mirror is designed for this specific truck only. It's not a universal kind of mirror. more

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab we'll be installing the K-Source Universal Clip-On Towing Mirror, part number KS3891. We're installing this on the passenger's side today but you can use it for either side. To begin our installation you want to open your arms of the mirror up, and you'll notice these grooves here, that's designed to fit around the frame of your mirror. It's designed to have a nice grab. What I like to do is I like to do the top first until it slides in above the mirror as you can see. A nice spot for it. more

CIPA Dual-View Clip-On Towing Mirror Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab we will be installing the Cipa Dual View Clip on Towing Mirrors, that's part number 11953. To start off our install we'll go ahead and place the mirror on the driver side mirror. You can use this for either driver side or passenger side. If you look closely here, you'll notice the flanges on all four sides. This is designed to grab onto the mirror when installing. What I like to do is I like to take these rubber straps and go ahead and strap one down. It makes the installation a little bit easier so you can fine tune all your adjustments. If you look at these two knobs here, these are to adjust your arms so they pivot out and it allows for a flat, level surface when you're strapping down your mirror. Once we get that fine tuned we'll go ahead and take our other strap and clip that on. more

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab we'll be installing the Cipa Clip On Towing Mirror, that's part number 7070. To begin our installation of our towing mirror you want to open up your pivot arms. If you look here you'll see that these are designed to grab on to the inner-casing of the mirror. What I like to do when I have it placed, I like to go ahead and do one strap, that way it holds the mirror. That way I can do all my adjustments, put the mirror where I want it, and then finally doing the last strap. It makes for a final nice, tight fit. If you see here we're able to move our mirror back and forth or up and down with a full swivel action. I'll also show you that it adds right about 5" onto our factory mirror. more

First up in our installation go ahead and make sure your mirror is completely clean. You want to get rid of any dirt, debris, bug guts. You just want to get that off so the mirror that sits on top of it won't rub it into the finish of your plastic here. You can see how our towing mirror matches up with the factory mirror. Longview Custom Towing Mirrors Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Today on this 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 crewcab we're going to install part number LVT-1800 from Longview. This is our custom towing mirrors for standard mirrors. The install is pretty basic. You just want to make sure that your mirror is completely clean, get all the road debris, dead bugs, and all that stuff off there so this doesn't rub it into the paint. There's actually really not that much contact with it anyway. There's also padding on here on the parts that really have pressure against it. Just go ahead and slide it on, it's pretty simple. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab we're going to be test fitting the Cipa Dual View Clip-On Towing Mirror, part number 11953. This does feature an aerodynamic enclosed head that's going to help reduce vibration as you travel. It installs pretty quickly, no tools are required. It's going to work on most seven inch to ten inch tall mirrors. The mirror's going to give us an overall length of fourteen and a half inches. The mirror itself measures seven inches by five and a half inches. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab, we're going to be test fitting the K-Source Universal Strap On Towing Mirror, part number Ks3891. This is designed to fit both driver and passenger's side using the same mirror, so let's go ahead and put it here on our passenger's side. It comes with the mirror and we've got 2 different straps. To begin our test fit, we're just going to go ahead and place our adjustable portion -it adjusts in two different areas, up here at the housing. You can see how the arms adjust different directions and then right here where the arms connect, those are going to pivot as well to make this a universal fit. So we'll go ahead and make sure that our clamps are in their appropriate position. With our clamps in the appropriate position, we'll go ahead and place them around our mirror. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Series Crew Cab we'll be test fitting the K Source Custom Towing Mirrors, part number KS80900. We'll go ahead and place our towing mirror over our existing mirror, bring it around front until we hear all those snaps snap in place. We want to make sure that we have the three snaps at the top around the lip of our mirror and the one long one here at the bottom around the lip of our mirror. Now we'll grab our driver's side mirror and repeat this process for our driver's side. You can push on the corners of the mirror to adjust it as needed when hauling your equipment. That completes today's test for the K Source Custom Towing Mirrors, part number KS80900, on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Series Crew Cab. more

This is also available for the passenger's side with part number 10902. When we're looking up our towing mirror box, we see that we have a wedge, two thumb strips, and a screw. Now the thump strips we're already installed so that way you can see where to place them on your towing mirror. There's a guideline right here and underneath the strip is this foam, that way it tells you specifically where to put these foam pad. We have it installed right there, the other foam pad was on the wedge. Now I'm going to be placing our towing mirror under the mirror connected to our truck. more
