Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Chevrolet Spark

Shane: Hi, I'm Shane with etrailer.com. Today you're going to be taking a look at, and I'm going to walk you through the installation, on a Draw-Tite Class I Sport Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver on your 2017 Chevrolet Spark. There's a lot of benefits to adding a hitch to a Spark. For Spark owners, you know there's not a whole lot of room on the inside. Adding a hitch is going to allow you to carry a cargo carrier, or put on a bike rack so you can move a lot of the cargo from the inside, put it on the outside, to make more room on the inside for passengers. This is what our hitch is going to look like when it's installed. As you can see, the cross tube and everything is hidden up behind the fascia. more

EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Installation - 2019 Chevrolet Bolt EV

Rob here at etrailer.com, and today you're going to be taking a look at the EcoHitch Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver on our 2019 Chevy Bolt. Now, here is what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. You can see it's going to have a really clean factory look to it, and that's because our cross tube here is going to be completely hidden behind the bumper, and the only thing we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out. Now, our EcoHitch is going to offer us a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which means we're going to have a really wide variety of options when it comes to accessories that we can mount up. If you want to take some bikes with you, we could put a bike rack in here. Maybe we need to make some room inside for passengers or pets, we can put a cargo carrier in our hitch, that way we have more room, or hook up a ball mount so we can tow a trailer. Now, regardless of what we're going to be putting in our hitch, all of our accessories are going to mount using the hitch pin hole here on the side. It is going to accept a standard five eighths pin and clip. more

Here's what it's going to look like once we have it installed, and you can see it's going to have a really clean, almost factory look to it.And if we want, we actually have the option of putting the panel back. It will fit, and then no one will know that we actually have a hitch on our Traverse. That's a class three hitch, which means it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which is going to give us the most options when it comes to accessories. We need to transport a couple of bikes, we can put a bike rack in here. Maybe get some dirty camping gear out to make room on the inside, put a cargo carrier in there. Or if we need to tow a trailer, we can put a ball mount. But whatever we're going to be using it for, we're going to mount all of our accessories to the hitch fit hole here on the side. This is going to be great for any bike racks, cargo carriers, anything that has that inch and a quarter shank is going to work great with this hitch. It's going to have a steel construction with a black powder coat finish to keep it away from that rust and corrosion. Now one thing I really like about this hitch is that it's going to be tucked up further underneath your bumper, so that you're not going to have to worry about seeing it when not using it.It is going to come with these hooks so you are going to be able to attach your safety chains when hauling a trailer. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, we're going to be taking a look at and showing how to install the etrailer.com Class 3 2" trailer hitch receiver. One of my favorite things about this hitch is that, when you're not using it, you can actually put this cover back on and make it disappear. But when you do need it, you can simply remove it, and then you're going to be able to use it to tow trailers or use it for accessories like a bike rack or a cargo carrier. The hitch is going to give us some pretty good weight capacities. Up top here, we're going to have our CURT, which is going to be a Class 2. Then right below that, we're going to have our Draw-Tite, which is also going to be a Class 2.If I we're looking for a hitch for my Impala, I would go with the Draw-Tite, but let's take a closer look at both of our hitches. Now the first thing you might notice is that both of our hitches are going to look very similar and have a very similar design. That's partially because they're going to install exactly the same way. They're going to use factory mounting locations and we're not going to have to drill or cut anything, but we are going to have to fish wire some hardware in place and lower our exhaust. One of the only differences that you're really going to notice is going to be the collar on the end of the receiver tube. more
