On the bottom we have our etrailer.com Class 3. First we'll give you a brief summary. As far as weight capacity goes, we found that the Draw-Tite hitch here was the winner because it does have higher weight capacities than the other two hitches. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2008 Chevrolet Equinox - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on our 2008 Chevrolet Equinox, we'll be installing the draw tight max frame class 3 trailer hitch receiver. Part number 76028. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, it's nice and ticked up underneath our bumper cover here. The one part really hanging down is the class 3 two inch receiver right here, our safety chain loops and then the main frame of the hitch right here. It looks like a 5-3 installation because it doesn't hang down too much and the angle of the frame on the hitch follows the bumper lines. This hitch features a 4500 pound max gross trailer weight rating and a 675 pound max for its tongue weight rating. This hitch does support the use of weight distribution. However, the numbers don't change as far as capacity. more

Today on our 2008 Chevrolet Equinox we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the CURT custom fit class two trailer hitch receiver. This offers the 1-1/4" opening. Its part number is C12291. Here's what the CURT class two hitch looks like once it's installed on the Equinox. It's going to have a narrow tube going this way running across the car. Keeps it maybe about 1" right underneath this rear fascia, so doesn't hang down too far, doesn't give it a goofy look. more

Today on this 2008 Chevrolet Equinox, we'll be installing the Curt trailer hitch, part number 13591. Before we being our install, we'll show what the hitch looks like on the vehicle. Next, we'll give you some measurements of the hitch that will assisting you in selecting accessories such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver hitch tube to the ground measures about 11 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer edge of our bumper measures 4 3/4 inches. Now we'll show you how this trailer hitch installs. First, we'll find our attachment points. There will be two here on the side of the frame, on both the passenger and drive sides of the vehicle. more

Today on this 2008 Chevrolet Equinox, we're going to install part number 90145 from Hidden Hitch. Let's go ahead and remove the lower portion of the inaudible 00:00:10 that's in the center of the bumper cover. We'll go ahead and remove from the bottom to make room for the hitch. The hitch will mount on two threaded holes on the side of the frame. We're looking at the passenger's side here. This will be identical on the driver's side, as well. more

Today on this 2008 Chevrolet Equinox we're going to install part number 87572 from Hidden Hitch. Let's go ahead and remove the lower portion of the fascia if it's in the center of the bumper cover. We'll go ahead and remove from the bottom to make room for the hitch. The hitch will mount on two threaded holes on the side of the frame. We're looking at the passenger side here, it has to be identical on the driver's side as well. Next, there will be two threaded holes in the middle of the bumper structure that the hitch will use. Then, there will be two large oval holes in the bottom of the frame as well. more
