Hollywood Racks Expedition Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2017 Nissan Altima- Video

Today on our 2017 Nissan Altima we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Expedition 2-bike rack, part number HRF6-2. Now we already have a bike installed on our rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of our features. Now there are reflectors on both ends of the arms here to improve visibility at night. The cradles themselves do adjust along the arms here to accommodate loading. It grips your bike at three points. We're going to have two straps up at the top here and one off to the side here, which is going to serve as an anti-sway cradle to keep your bike from moving too far back and forth and making bike-to-bike contact. Now while it doesn't come with the wheel strap that we have here, we do recommend you use one so that your tire is not making contact with your vehicle while you drive. more

Thule Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2017 Nissan Altima- Video

Today on our 2017 Nissan Altima we're going to be test fitting the Thule Raceway PRO 2-bike rack, part number TH9001PRO. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. One of the nicer features about this is it does have an integrated cable lock here at the front that you'll wrap around your bike and attach it to this point here and lock it into place so your bikes will be secured to the rack. The cradles themselves are stationary, but they have these points here where you can actually see where the cables for your brakes and stuff can actually set in there so they won't be crushed down by the frame. It grips your bike at three points. more

The cradles themselves are stationary, but they do have this padded material here to ensure that your bike's frame won't be scratched up once you install it. It grips your bike at three points. We're going to have two zip strips up at the top, and one off to the side, which will serve as an anti-sway cradle to keep your bike from moving too far back and forth. more

Thule Archway Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2017 Nissan Altima- Video

Today on our 2017 Nissan Altima, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Archway XT 2-Bike Rack, part number TH9009XT. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show out some of the features. One of the nicest features about this is the fact that it does have an integrated cable lock here at the end of one of the arms. You'll pull it out, wrap it around your bikes and then attach it to this point up here and lock it so your bikes will be secured to your rack. You do notice we do have a wheel strap here around our tire. This does not come with the bike rack, although we do recommend you use this so your bike tire doesn't sit on the actual vehicle itself. Our cradles are adjustable along the arms to assist with loading and it also has this arch to the arms, which also assists with loading and to prevent bike to bike contact. more

Today in our 2017 Nissan Altima we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Over-The-Top 2 Bike Carrier part number HRF1. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the feature. First off we do have reflectors on both ends of the arms to improve visibility at night. The grails themselves are adjustable along the arms to accommodate loading and it'll grip your bike at three points. We're going to have two straps up at the top here and then one off to the side here which is going to serve as an anti-sway cradle to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth and possibly making bike-to-bike contact. Now we do have a strap here securing our front wheel. This does not come with the bike rack although we do recommend you use this to prevent your bike tire or your handlebars from making contact with the vehicle. more

Hollywood Racks Express Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2017 Nissan Altima- Video

Today, on our 2017 Nissan Altima, we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Express Three Bike Rack, part number HRE3. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now, these are fixed arms, so these do not fold down if you we're to need that for extra clearance, but it does have adjustable cradles that move along the arms, here, to assist with loading. It also has these nice rubber straps, here, so your bike frame itself won't get scratched up once it's installed, and it grips your bike at two points with these straps at the top. Now, when all three bikes are attached, we do have this strap here, which you would wrap around all three, which will serve as a stabilization strap. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. With our bike rack in this position, I'm going to go ahead and give you a quick measurement. Measuring from the edge of the trunk, or edge of the bumper, to our outermost point, which is going to be our arms, here, we've added about 23 inches. more
