Hi there Fleetwood owners. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the best Vehicle Sway Bar and Suspension Enhancement Systems for your Fleetwood Bounder. So, you've just got your new motorhome and you've taken it out on your first adventure and the way there was just not what you expected. Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2016 Fleetwood Bounder Motorhome- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Fleetwood Bounder, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Roadmaster Rear Anti Sway Bar, part number RM-1139-149.Now, our Roadmaster Anti Sway Bar is the perfect solution for those drivability issues we experience with our RVs. This creates a connection point from the frame across our axle, back up to our frame. It's going to work in unison side to side, so as we experience the body roll, or the top of our RV tipping one way or another, as it goes to tip one way, that frame's going to come down and it forces down on our end link, which is going to force down on our sway bar. That in turn is going to pull down on that opposite side, it helps to keep everything nice and level.Now, typically body roll is going to come from cornering. It can also come from uneven pavement, cross winds, passing 18 wheelers, or even sometimes blowouts, not as much there though. Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Fleetwood Bounder, we're going to take a look at, and also show you how to install the Roadmaster front anti-sway bar, part number is RM-1139-140.All right, guys, we're going to talk just a little bit about the importance of this sway bar, why it would be important to put on your motor home. When the chassis comes out of the factory, it has a sway bar installed. We'll show you how to remove that in a little while, but it's just a standard sway bar. There's nothing special about it, and that's meant to work for most of the light duty and the medium duty applications that this chassis is going to be asked to do. Once these show up at the facility where they actually are going to make the motor home, they're adding a lot of weight onto that chassis, and it's kind of top heavy. Not all the weight's down on the bottom, so you're having a lot of weight that's up higher, and that creates what's called body roll. more
