Thule Sonic XXL Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2009 Nissan Murano

Today, on our 2009 Nissan Murano, well be test fitting the Thule Sonic XXL Rooftop Cargo Box. This box measures 22 cubic feet and is in color metallic silver, part number TH636S. To begin our test fit, we need to remove the rear antenna. We do this by simply unscrewing the antenna from its location. Well grab our cargo box and place it directly on to our cross bars. Since the feet hanging out at the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as necessary to fit around our cross bars while placing our box on to our roof-rack. more

Today, on our 2009 Nissan Murano, well be test fitting the Thule Sonic Medium Rooftop Cargo Box, measuring 13 cubic feet in glossy black, part number TH634B. With the factory roof-rack system assembled on to our vehicle, well begin our test fit by placing the Thule Sonic directly on to our cross bars. Since the feet already hanging out at the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as needed to fit around our cross bars while placing the box on to our roof-rack. With the box situated the way we like, well open the passenger side of the box and tighten down our feet around our cross bars by tightening our hand knob. Well do this for both clamps on this side of the box. One of the great features of the Thule Sonic is its ability to open from either side of the vehicle. more

Today, on our 2009 Nissan Murano, we'll be testing the Thule Pulse Alpine Rooftop Cargo Box, measuring 11 cubic feet and in color matte black, part number TH613. Before we place the box on to our cross bars, we need to remove the rear antenna. We do this by simply unscrewing it from its location. We can take the box and place it on to our cross bars. Please keep in mind that this box opens from one side only. Well be screwing the box towards the passenger side of the vehicle for easier accessibility. more

With the factory roof-rack system assembled on to our vehicle, well begin our test fit by placing the Thule Pulse directly on to our cross bars. Please keep in mind that this box opens from one side only. Well be placing it towards the passenger side for easier accessibility. Well open the box and place our feet through the appropriate slots, making sure that they go around the cross bars, then we can use the attached hand knobs to tighten them place. With all four those tight, our box is secured to our roof-rack, and were ready to go. more

Today on our 2009 Nissan Murano, we'll be test fitting the Thule Force XXL rooftop cargo box, measuring 21 cubic feet, in AeroSkin black, part number TH626. With the factory roof rack system assembled onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by removing the rear antenna. We need to remove this in order to get the box to fit onto our vehicle. We'll grab the Thule Force and place it onto our crossbars. Since the feet are already hanging out of the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as necessary to fit around our crossbars while placing our box onto our roof rack. This box will come into contact with the rear hatch when opening, so it's good to go ahead and set the box as far forward as possible. more

Today on our 2009 Nissan Murano, we'll be test fitting the Thule Force large rooftop cargo box, measuring 13 cubic feet, in AeroSkin black, part number TH624. With the factory roof rack system installed onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the Thule Force directly onto our crossbars. Since the feet are already hanging out of the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as necessary to fit around our crossbars while placing our box onto our roof rack. Once we have the box situated the way we like, we can then open the passenger side of the box and tighten down the two feet on this side by tightening our hand knobs. One of the great features of this box is it's ability to open from either side of the vehicle. We'll move to the driver's side, open the box, and tighten down the two remaining clamps. more
