Best 2008 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty Suspension Enhancement Options

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best suspension enhancements for your 2008 Ford F-150, F-250, and F-350. Here we're going to have a leaf spring-style helper spring, followed by our air bag helper springs. Then over here we're going to have a jounce-style helper spring. This is going to be our lower overload helper spring. Then finally on the end, this is going to be our upper overload helper springs. Now each one of our types of suspension enhancements are going to do the same thing. When we're carrying a heavy load or hauling a heavy trailer, they're going to prevent the back end of our truck from sagging, causing more strain on our suspension, as well as lifting up the front end, creating less contact for our tires and not a safe driving condition. more

Super Springs SumoSprings Air Helper Springs Installation - 2008 Ford F-350- Video

Super Springs SumoSprings Air Helper Springs Installation - 2008 Ford F-350

Today on our 2008 Ford F350 Super Duty, we're going to show you how to install the SumoSprings Heavy Duty Rear Axle Solo Custom Helper Springs from SuperSprings. Part number is SSR-114-54. Here's what our SuperSpring's going to look like installed. The SuperSprings are going to allow for better handling and ride when we're hauling those heavy loads around. This is going to help reduce body roll side to side, and it also smooths out the bumps. This has a progressive design, so when we're just carrying our light loads, we're not going to have much of a difference in the ride quality of our vehicle. more

Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2008 Ford F-250- Video

Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2008 Ford F-250

Today on our 2008 Ford F250, we're going to be installing the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Spring. These are double convoluted and for the rear axle, part number is F2550. Before we install our helper springs from Firestone, we're going to get a measurement and see how this truck sits normally and unloaded. As you can see, we've got about 41 1/4" to the bottom edge of our wheel well. We'll put some weight in the back, that's going to draw that down some and we'll get another measurement. Now that we've added just a little bit of weight to the back of the truck, we're now going to see that the suspension's taken some of the load that we're now down to about 39 3/4". So, we lost about 1 1/2" of our level here in the rear. Here on our driver's side, just above our jounce, we do have the fuel lines that are going to run right through there. more

SuperSprings SuperSway-Stops Installation - 2008 Ford F-350

Today, on this 2008 Ford F-350 we're going to install part number sss-2. This is SuperSprings SuperSway-Stops, an anti-sway system for air spring suspension. The intent of this part is that it reduces body roll and decreases the sway by replacing the factory bump stops with the SuperSway-Stops. This is very easy to install. Basically, all we have to do is remove the factory bump stops. Of course, in this case we just sprayed them down with some lubricant. more
