Trailer Hitch Installation - 2008 Kia Sportage - Curt- Video
Today on our 2008 Kia Sportage, we'll be installing the Curt Hitch, part number C12126. This is what our hitch will look like once it's installed. Next, we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch, such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole, to the outermost edge of the bumper is six inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 12 and three-quarter inches. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2008 Kia Sportage- Video
Today on this 2008 Kia Sportage we will be installing Curt hitch part number 13526. Okay underneath the vehicle we are actually taking a look at the driver side frame rail. We are going to go ahead and point out the mounting holes for our trailer hitch. As you can see here we have got two existing bolts in the frame and then one empty weld nut right next to it. We are going to remove those two bolts and use the third weld nut as well and those will be our three attaching points for our trailer hitch. We will be using new hardware for these three weld nuts. We will be using the 10 millimeter bolts with a conical tooth washer that is provided with our installation kit. 00:36 more
