Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Kia Optima - Curt- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Kia Optima we'll be having a look at and installing the Curt class one trailer hitch receiver, part number C11025. Here's what the hitch looks like installed. As you can see, our hitch here is tucked up nicely underneath our fascia, sits nice and tight up against it giving us the maximum amount of ground clearance that we possibly can have, and yet, still giving us plenty of clearance around our receiver opening here making this an ideal hitch to use with bike racks and cargo carriers.Welded onto the bottom of the receiver and the frame of our hitch is our safety chain lube plate. This plate style design has two openings, one in each side of the receiver which are fairly large openings which shouldn't be an issue to hook on most safety chain hooks.On the side of our receiver here is our industry standard, half inch diameter hitch pin hole to secure inaudible 00:00:55 mount and accessories. The hitch pin and clip is included with the hitch.Welded onto the back of our receiver is this reinforcement collar which helps give us a more refined appearance and also reinforces the shank of the receiver a little bit. This hitch features a 200 pound max gross tongue weight rating, which is the amount of weight forcing down any 2,000 pound max gross trail weight rating, which is the amount I can pull. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Kia Optima - Draw-Tite- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Kia Optima we'll be having a look at, and installing, the Draw-Tite Class I Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 24940. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, our hitch has plenty of clearance around our fascia here, making this an idea hitch to use with bike racks and cargo carriers. The main frame of the hitch is tucked up nice and tight up against our underside the vehicle, to help optimize ground clearance.On the side of our receiver here, we have our industry standard 1/2" diameter hitch pin hole, to secure any of our hitch mounted accessories. Welded onto the bottom of our receiver are these tubular steel safety chain loops, which have a nice, large opening, which will allow us to hook on the safety chains from our trailer at any angle. This hitch features a 200 pound max tongue weight rating, which is the amount forcing down, and a 2,000 pound max gross trailer rating, which is what it can pull. more

Best 2015 Kia Optima Hitch Options- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitches available for the 2015 Kia Optima. We'll start with our Curt class 1, this is going to be part number C11025. This is an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter class 1 hitch. It's going to be followed up with our Draw-Tite, same specs there inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter class 1 hitch. This part number is 24940. To start with we're going to see our hitch pretty much all the way across the rear of the vehicle where our cross tubes are. You'll see the Draw-tite it's more squared. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Kia Optima - Draw-Tite 24853- Video
Today our 2015 Kia Optima, were going to be installing the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 24853. Now, heres what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now, well go ahead and give you a couple measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground, we have about 10-1/4 inches. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper, we have about 4 inches. Now, lets go ahead and install our hitch.Now before we begin our installation, were going to go ahead and install a safety strap underneath the exhaust to support it. more
