Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the custom fit vehicle wiring options for your 2011 Nissan Altima. Here on your left we have the Tekonsha, part number 118470. Here in the center we have the CURT, part number 56022. Here on your right we're going to have the Hopkins, part number HM11143675.Before we really get into the differences, I want to talk about the converter boxes. We get questions what the converter box is for, what's the purpose of it. The purpose of the converter box is to protect your vehicle wiring from any backfeed from your trailer if there's a wiring issue. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 Nissan Altima- Video
Today on our 2011 Nissan Altima we'll be installing the Tow Ready T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number 118470. To begin with we'll need to go ahead and raise the trunk lid up. Next we'll go ahead and remove the three tabs that hold the rear plastic threshold in place. Once that's been removed, now we need to go to each side, the driver as well as the passenger side, and remove a push tab similar to what we just removed to remove the threshold. We'll need to pull each one out so that we can peel the carpet back to allow us access to the wiring connection. Here on the passenger side we'll make the connection with the wiring harness that has the green wire and the end connectors. First we need to disonnect the factory connections. more
