Hey guys, it's Jake here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hopkins 7- and 4-pole wiring kit, and we're gonna be installing it on our 2018 Chevrolet Traverse. Our wiring kit that we installed on our vehicle did come with a seven pole, but the owner of our vehicle wants a four pole and a seven pole. On this kit that we have here is going to replace any adapter that you might have to carry. A lot of those will get lost in your car or someone will ask to borrow it and you'll never get it back. But this is gonna have a four pole on one end and your seven way on the other. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Traverse, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Kirt 00:00:05 T-connector vehicle wiring harness with the four pole slat trailer connector, part number C56394. Now, this is what your wiring is going to look like once you get it installed on your vehicle. As you can see, we're using a four poled bracket here that allows us to have a firm attachement point for our wiring. Now, if you don't want a bracket, you do have the option of coming down and around your hitch, and then we can use that dust cover just to hold it up and in place.Here's what our wiring kit is going to look like. This is going to be a very straightforward and easy installation for you to do. Basically, we have our factory connector right here. more

Something I like about this kit, we've got a number gasket all the way around here. That helps to keep out any moisture or any debris that might get in there and eventually cause corrosion. more

Part number is 118287.Here's what the wiring kit's going to look like installed. You can see we've got our 7-way trailer connector there. Something I like about this kit, we've got a rubber gasket all the way around here. That helps to keep out any moisture or any debris that might get in there and eventually cause corrosion. See how we've mounted it up to our bracket and the bracket here that was already welded to the hitch.This is what your kit's going to look like when you pull it out of the package. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2018 Chevrolet Traverse, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole flat trailer connector, and that's going to be part number 118761.Here's what our wiring looks like. I do want to mention that the bracket is not included in the kit, but you can pick some up on our website. Our wiring is going to provide us with a 4-Pole flat trailer connector. It's going to give us all the required lights to get down the road safely and within the law. So we can give us our tail lights, brake lights, and our turn signals.We chose to mount our wiring with this bracket, because the wiring is going to stay on the outside of the vehicle at all times, so we'll be right next to our receiver tube whenever we get ready to hook up to our trailer. Now this is a custom-designed wiring kit, so it is going to be specific for our Traverse and it is just going to plug into a factory port, which is going to be right in this general area behind the bumper.Our wiring is even going to include this nice dust cover, which is going to keep some of the moisture and the debris out, from getting inside of the connector. more

Best 2018 Chevrolet Traverse Trailer Wiring Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best wiring options for your 2018 Chevrolet Traverse. Here we're going to have our different wiring options. Down on the end here we're going to have a 4-pole flat, which is going to be our Curt wiring. Next to it we're going to have our Tekonsha 4-pole flat wiring kit. Then here we're going to have our Tekonsha 7-pole wiring kit and then finally at the end we're going to have our Curt 7-pole wiring kit.Obviously because the 4-pole and the 7-pole are going to be different connectors, we'll start by talking about the 4-pole flat connectors first. Both the Curt and the Tekonsha are both going to give you that 4-pole flat trailer connector on the end, and they're both going to work with our factory tow package. more
