Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best custom fit vehicle wiring options for a 2014 Cadillac SRX.To determine which wire and harness you're going to need, you're going to need to know if your SRX has the tow package or not. Now, most likely it will, and there's going to be a connector behind the bumper in the center that our new harness is going to plug directly into. So here we have our Takansha, which is going to plug directly into the factory tow package. It's going to be an extremely easy connection. You're just going to have to take the cover off, and plug in a new wiring harness in, and then take the zip ties, and tie up the excess wire.It's going to provide us with a four pull flat trailer connector. Giving us our tail lights, turn signals, and our brake lights. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Cadillac SRX- Video
Today on our 2014 Cadillac SRX, we're going to take a look at, then also show you how to install Hopkins plug in simple wiring harness for the factory tow package. This offers the four pole flat trailer connector. It's part number is HM11141475. Now this is what our wiring kit's going to look like when we pull it out of the package. This is a really simple straight forward installation. What we're going to do is use the plug here, this matches exactly to our factory tow package plug. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Cadillac SRX 56096- Video
Today on our 2014 Cadillac SRX we're going to be installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with a 4-Pole Trailer Flat Connector, part number 56096. We're going to begin here on the lower rear fascia of the vehicle. We're going to need to remove this center section. To do that, we'll need to remove the Phillips head screw here as well as over there. Once your screws are both removed just simply lean the panel downward. There's five little tabs at the top that you'll need to get to release. We're going to go up here underneath the bumper structure itself. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Cadillac SRX 118259- Video
Today on our 2014 Cadillac SRX, we're going to be installing the Tow Ready T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with a 4-pole flat trailer connector with vehicles with a factory tow package, part number 118259. Now we're going to go ahead and start here at the center of the vehicle on this lower fascia piece at the rear bumper. We're going to need to remove this screw here as well as this screw here. Both of these are just a Phillips-head, so we'll just be using a Phillips-head screwdriver. Once the screws are out, lean the center door section down, and it'll just pop out of the 5 tabs that are at the top. Now if you look up here underneath the rear bumper right here on the back side, this right here is the plug that we're looking for. Now to make things a little bit easier, we're going to go ahead and remove it from the plastic tab securing it to the bumper. more
