Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2014 Dodge Journey, we're going to be taking a look at it, and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame trailer hitch receiver. So my first impression of the hitch is that it's going to look really good. It's going to be pretty much completely hidden for the most part, the only thing you're going to be able to see here is the receiver tube opening. And that has a big appearance advantage over some of the other hitches, which are completely visible. The other ones will hang down, and you're really going to be able to see all that. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2013 Dodge Journey, we're going to be installing the etrailer.com's Class III 2 inch trailer hitch receiver, part number e98845. This is what our hitch is going to look like when it's installed. As you can see, you will be able to see the cross tube and the receiver tube sticking off the back here. It's a Class III 2" by 2" hitch receiver, so it's going to be great for all of your needs. From bike racks, to cargo carriers, to hauling trailers, it's going to handle everything.I use the 5/8" hitch pin and clip. Today on our 2014 Dodge Journey we're going to be taking a look at and selling the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver class III. Part number C13201. This is what it looks like once it's installed, you can see it's going to fit pretty flush under the bottom so that our bumper as a bit of a spare tire here. Still leaving enough room for your to drop your spare out of there. It's got a nice black powder coated finish that's going to make it look nice from the back of the vehicle and keep it from rusting and corroding. It's got a large flat style safety chain loopholes. It's going to accommodate most of your safety chains that are out there. more

Here's what it's going to look like once it's installed. You can see it's got a nice black powder coating finish. Our clamp style safety chain loops and they'll be big enough for both your safety chain hooks to be able to fit into. It's going to be a class two, inch and a quarter by an inch and a quarter. more

Today on this 2014 Dodge Journey, we're going to install part number C12335. This is a Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, class 2. With the hitch installed, we'll go ahead and give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories, such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the bumper here, comes out to about 2-1/2". From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground is about 14-1/4". All right, let's go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. Our first step to make things a little bit easier to install our hitch, is go ahead an get your spare tire out of the way. more

From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 1 1/2 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 14 3/4 inches. This will assist you in selecting accessories such as a ball mount, bike rack or cargo carrier. Now we'll go ahead installation. First we'll go ahead and point our attachment points. more

From top of receiver opening, down to the ground, will be about 14 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole, to the edge of the bumper, will be around 2 inches. Now, we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. To start off our install, we're going to go ahead and have our spare tire already removed. more
