Hey everyone, Shane here with etrailer.com. Today I have a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. I'm gonna walk through how to install the Curt Class IV trailer hitch receiver. Adding a Class IV hitch like this is gonna give you a lot of different options when we compare it to like a Class III hitch or your standard-duty hitch. With a Class IV, weight capacities are gonna go up. It's gonna allow us to tow a lot heavier loads. more

Best 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Trailer Hitch Options- Video
Rob: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.So here's going to be the two hitches that are going to be available. Up top here we're going to have our CURT, which is going to be a class 3 hitch, then right below that we're going to have another CURT, which is actually going to be a class 5 hitch. Now, one thing I do want to mention is that both of these are going to fit our Silverado; however, each one is going to be dependent on whether we have a factory hitch or not. The class 3 is going to be a replacement, so if you don't have a hitch we can go ahead and put this on and everything will work just fine. But if you do have a factory hitch, then the one available is going to be the class 5 hitch in addition to the one that we have from the factory.Now with that in mind, our CURT class 3 hitch is going to be for the most part kind of a general-purpose hitch. We're going to be able to tow with it. more
