Then we have our Draw-Tite Class 1, part number 24888. Both of these hitches have their advantages, but let's go ahead and go over some of their differences. Now while these do both have plates for added durability, the Draw-Tites are actually going to be separate from the safety chain loops, which makes it a little bit easier to attach them to be able to get in from any angle, while you notice with the CURT, they're a little bit thicker, so that might be a little bit of a problem. Audio: Today, on our 2014 Subaru Impreza, we are going to be installing the Curt trailer hitch receiver, part# C11286. Here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now, we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch, such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground, you have 10.5". From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper, we have 2.5". Now, let's go ahead and install our hitch. Let's begin our installation by pointing out the mounting locations that we'll be using to install our hitch to the vehicle's frame. There's a total of 4 mounting locations, 2 on each side. There will be one right here as well as one right here. more
