Today in our 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs with internal jounce bumpers for the rear axle, part number AL88275. Before we get started, let's take a few measurements to see where it sits with our factory suspension unloaded. Here at the rear fender we're looking at about 40 and 1/4 inches. Then if we move up to the front, that's sitting about 38 1/4 inches. So now, with a load on the suspension let's see where it sits. Now at the top of this rear fender we're sitting right about 38 inches. more

Alright, today in this 2004 Chevrolet Silverado we're going to install part number F2250 from Firestone. We're going to start off with the passenger's side and complete the installation and then repeat the same steps on the driver's side. We'll take one of the air springs and first install the upper bracket. Since we're doing the passenger's side we'll install the heat shield for the exhaust. That will get sandwiched between the spring and hot plate. This is not required for the driver's side. more
