Now well go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements. We have a ground clearance of 10 inches. The closest point of the carrier to the rear of the vehicle is about 2 inches. With the bike carrier in its folded position weve added 8 inches to the overall length of our vehicle. more

Now well go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements. We have about 11 inches of ground clearance. From the closest point of the bike carrier to the back of the vehicle is about 4 inches. This is what our bike rack will look like in its stored position.Next, we'll go ahead and give you a few measurements. From the nearest point of the bumper to the nearest point of the base of the rack is 1 inch. With our bike rack in the stored position we add an additional 10 inches to the overall vehicle length, and from the lowest point of the bike rack we have 10-1/2 inches of ground clearance.Next, we'll go ahead and use the hitch switch at the base of the rack to tilt it away from the vehicle to gain rear cargo access. As you can see, with the bike rack tilted away from the vehicle we can still gain full rear cargo access.Now let's go ahead and close the door. We'll put our bike rack back into the upright locked position and use the hitch switch at the top of the mast to extend the carrying arms. more

Today, on our 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan were going to be test fitting the Pro Series Q-Slot platform style two-bike carrier for inch-and-a-quarter and 2-inch hitches, part number PS63134. With our vehicle equipped with a 2-inch hitch and our bike rack already pre-assembled, we can go ahead and slide the bike rack shank directly into the receiver tube of the hitch and install the anti-rattle bolt and install the pin and clip.Next, well go ahead and give you a few clearance measurements.From the closest point of the bumper to the closest point of the rack we have 5-1/2 inches. With our rack installed we can add an additional 22 inches to the overall length of the vehicle, and from the bottom of the bike rack we have 12-3/4 inches of ground clearance. Next, well go ahead and lower the platform on the rack and the center support bar. This will allow us rear cargo access. As you can see, with the bike platform down and the center suppor bar out of the way we still gain rear cargo access. more

Today in this 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan we're going to do a test fit of product number TH990XT from Thule the Thule Doubletrack Bike Rack. A couple of quick notes about this rack is that it will work on 1-1/4 inch hitches class 1 and class 2. It will also work on a class 3 receiver with the included bushing and we'll be using that today. We'll start off by installing the bike rack into the hitch tightening down the anti-rattle bolt and installing a lock on the other side. The bike rack does come with a tool to tighten it down. However, a 3/4-inch wrench works just as well. more
