Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be checking out our best trailer brake controller options for your 2015 Chevy Colorado. If you plan on pulling a trailer around that has brakes with your Colorado, you're gonna need a way to apply the brakes. That way you'll be safe, you won't have to rely on the truck to do all the braking, and that's where a trailer brake controller is gonna come into play, and there's a lot of 'em out on the market. It can kind of get overwhelming trying to sort through and figure out what one's gonna work best for your particular truck. Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Colorado- Video
Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Colorado we'll be taking a look at and installing the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller for 1 to 4 axles. This is the proportional braking system, and it's going to be part number 90195. We'll go ahead and plug our trailer into our 7-way connector. With our trailer plugged in you can see that it's not reading out anything. You can use that manual switch here on the bottom and that's going to apply brake to our trailer. You can adjust these. If you want to set your power level you just go over here to the up and down arrow, and you can go down or up as you choose. more
