Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Kia Sorrento, we're going to be test fitting the RockyMounts SplitRail Four-Bike Platform Rack for 2" Hitches, part number RKY1140-4. We already have a bike installed on the rack, so let's take a closer look and show off some of the features.One of the best features about this bike rack is going to be the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle with all four bikes still attached. To do that, we'll come to the front and come underneath to this lever here. I would like to point out that it can be a little awkward reaching all the way out here with all four bikes attached, so you may need an extra set of hands to help you do this. So, pull out on that lever, let the bike rack come down, and we'll have full hatch access now.I would like to point out that it's pretty close here when it comes to our handlebars. From the center out we're at about 9", so if you we're to have, say, a mountain bike that sticks out a little bit further, you may make contact with this rear hatch. more

We're going to have one point of contact and that's going to be this padded frame hook up at the top. Now it's padded to make sure that once you do install your bike, it doesn't get scratched up. We also have these adjustable wheel cradles at the bottom here, and this will accommodate different-sized bikes. more

Today on 2017 Kia Soul we're going to be test fitting the Kuat NV 2.0 2 Bike Platform Rack for 1-1/4" hitches. Part number NV12G. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now, the most prominent feature of this bike rack is the fact that you can't tilt this away from the vehicle with the bike still attached to get to your rear hatch. To do that we'll hold onto the bike rack, and you come to this switch here, pull towards you, let it come down, and now we have full access to our hatch. We'll just lift it back up and to its original position until you hear that click. Now, how the bike is actually attached to the rack, we're going to have two points of contact with no frame contact at all. more

All right on our 2016 Kia Sorrento, we're going to be test fitting a Yakima HoldUp 2 Bike Rack Platform Style. Now one of the nice features about this bike rack is that you can actually tilt it away to gain access to the back without having to take the bike off. Pull this red knob, lower the bike rack down. You can actually open the hatch all the way and still have access to everything in the back you need. Now I'll show you how to go ahead and take the bike off. Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Kia Sorento- Video
Today on our 2016 Kia Sorento, we're going to be testing our Kuat NV 2.0 Two-Bike Platform Rack, part number NV22G. Now, one of the really nice features of this bike rack is that it does tilt away without having to remove the bike. Just lift down on that lever, and the bike rack will tilt away giving you full access to the back hatch without ever having to remove the bike. Now, to show you how the bike comes off, you just lift the bike rack back up. You have a tire strap back here. You just push on this button, pull the strap out, and then up here push this button on this bar, move it out of the way, and your bike will come right off. Now, let's take a few measurements to show you a little bit of clearance and what kind of dimensions we're going to be adding to our vehicle. On the back of the vehicle, you're going to be adding about 31" to the total length of the vehicle. more

Let's go ahead and take a closer look, and show off some of the features. Now the first and most important feature about this bike rack, is the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle with the bike still attached. You just come up to the front here, and there's this gray handle that you push or pull towards yourself to release it. It's a lot nicer than some other racks, which will have the switches up towards the front, and make it a little more awkward to lower it. more

Today, on our 2016 Kia Soul, we'll be doing a test fit on the Swagman G10 Platform Style 2-Bike Rack. That's part number S64682. I've already got it loaded up on the Kia, just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's going to work with our bikes. It actually secures our bikes in 3 spots. We've got a frame hook going over our top tube here, putting down pressure into our front and rear cradles, and then we've got a strap going over our wheels keeping our bike in place. One of the greatest features about this bike rack is it has the ability to tilt away with bikes loaded, so we can gain easy access to our rear hatch. What we'll want to do is we'll come down here to this black handle. more

It's one of the few hanging style bike racks that has the ability to move out of the way so we can gain access to our rear hatch with the bikes loaded. Today on this Kia Soul, we're going to be test fitting the Swagman XC 2-Bike Rack, part number S64650. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike attach to the rack, we're going to have 1 point of contact, and that's going to be the frame at the top with this hook here, and it is padded so once you install this the bike itself will not get damaged. We also have 2 adjustable wheel wells to accommodate different size bikes. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. To do that, you want to grip a hold of the bike when you release the hook because you don't want it falling forward into the vehicle and possibly damaging it. You go to the bottom of the hook here and there's this gray button. more

Today on our 2015 Kia Sportage we're test fitting the Thule Vertex. This is a fully and tilting four bike rack. It's been designed for use with inch and a quarter or with 2 inch hitches. Part number on it is TH9029XT. You can see our incorporated cable lock here, it's really nice. The backside uses a Thule one-key lock-in tumbler. We can get those to match an already existing set or you can just start your set with the one you've got. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Kia Sportage- Video
Today on our 2015 Kia Sportage, we've got out the Swagman XC2. We're going to test fit it for you. The XC2 is a platform style 2-bike rack. It's been designed so you can use it with the 1-1/4 inch or 2-inch hitches. Part number on it is S64650. This is one of the simplest and very, very popular bike rack. Basically, it uses a frame hook to provide downward force onto our bike, holding it into our wheel hoops. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Kia Sedona- Video
Today on our 2016 Kia Sedona we're doing a test fit of the Swagman Trailhead hanging style 4 bike rack. The part number for that is S63380. We've already got our bike on our rack. We're first going to show you how that is connected down. We've got two cradles holding it in place with four straps, three on the frame, and then one is our anti-sway strap in the back here. That's going to prevent the bike from swinging back and forth too much and possibly damaging your vehicle. To release those we're just going to pull down and lift up. more
