Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee ETTHT2P-2- Video
Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be doing a test fit of the Thule T2 Pro platform style tilting 2 bike-rack, that's part number TH9034. I've already got it loaded up on the Grand Cherokee just to give you a good idea what it's going to look like. It is a platform style rack. As you can see, our bike is secured in 2 spots. We have this tire hook going over our front tire, putting down pressure into the front cradle, and then we have our rear well cradle, with our rear wheel. All in all, no frame contact. One of the greatest features about this bike rack is that it has the ability to tilt away so we can gain better access to our rear hatch. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee S64682- Video
Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be doing a test for the Swagman G10 Platform Style Tilting Two-Bike Rack. That's part number S64682. I've already got it loaded up on the Grand Cherokee just to give you a good idea of what it's going to look like. It secures our bike in three spots. We have our nice frame hook here going over our top tube, putting down pressure into our front and rear cradles. Then we have a strap going between our wheels, keeping everything in place. Now, one of the greatest features about this bike rack is it has the ability to tilt away so we can get into our rear hatch. We'll come over here to this black tab. more

Yakima FullTilt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Jeep Patriot- Video
Today on our 2015 Jeep Patriot we're test fitting the Yakima FullTilt. This is a folding and tilting 4-Bike rack. It's been designed so you can use it with inch and a quarter or two inch hitches, part number on it is Y02462. The FullTilt is going to have three cradles that are going to hold each bike in place, going to have two here for the top frame two, then also an anti-sway cradle here on the back. It does a really good job of keeping everything held in place. To release them, they use what are called zip strips. I like the zip strips. more

Today on our 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee we've got the Thule T2 here. We're test fitting it to see what kind of room we've got between it and the vehicle. For the T2, is a folding and tilting 2 bike rack it's been designed for use in two inch hitches the part number on it is TH9044. T2 does a great job of holding our bike in place without ever making contact with the frame. You've got a front wheel hook right up here. It gets mounted just in front of the front break caliper close enough to it so it's on the back side of the top part of the wheel but not close enough to it to make contact. more

Today on our 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we've got out the Swagman XC2. We're going to test fit it and see how it stacks up against the rear of the vehicle here. Now, the XC2 is designed for use with inch and a quarter or with 2 inch hitches. It's a 2 bike platform style rack, part number on it is S64650. Now, this is a pretty easy rack to use, not a lot of hassle with getting a bike loaded and unloaded. You see we've got a front wheel hoop, a rear wheel hoop, and then a frame clamp, so those are going to be the points of contact. The frame clamp, nice soft material here, it's going to have some give to protect the frame, but still as you can see, holds it really nice and steady. more

This rack's going to work great for your inch and a quarter and two inch hitches, it uses four straps, it's one more than we typically see, to hold the bike in place. We're going to have two here on the top two, we've got one here on the rear portion of the top two, and then also an anti-sway. It does a great job of keeping that bike from moving too much forward or back. more

Rola TX-104 Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2014 Jeep Cherokee we're going to be test fitting the Rola TX-104. This is a folding and tilting four bike rack designed for use in two inch hitches. Its part number is 59401. Now to begin our test fit, we're going to slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we slide it in, we'll want to keep an eye out for when the pinhole in the shaft of the rack lines up with the pinhole in the hitch. Now take our anti-rattle bolt, thread that through and then tighten it down with our wrench. We'll then secure it using the provided clip. The rack is going to offer us about nine and a half inches worth of ground clearance. more

Today on our 2015 Jeep Renegade we're doing a test fit of the Swagman XC 2 Bike Rack Platform Style, product number is S-6-4-6-5-0. We have a bike on our rack and the rack hooked to our vehicle, I just want to show you a few features. The first feature I'd like to show you is how the bike is connected to the bike rack itself. We have a frame hook here the has our frame connected, we have our wheel cradle in the front and we have a wheel cradle in the back. So I'm going to show you how we have this engaged, so to disengage it you press the button, going to bring this up all the way, press the button and bring up. If you want to engage it you keep going until it stops clicking, once it stops clicking it's secure on your bike rack, you should be good to go. We're going to go ahead and remove it, we're going to take the bike rack off, set this off the the side. Now we're going to take a few measurements just to show you over all distance, closest to our bike rack and our ground clearance. more

Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're doing a test fit of Thule roadway hanging style 2 bike rack. That part number is TH912XTR. Now, the first thing we're going to go over is how our bike is strapped down. We've got 2 cradles up at the top with 3 straps, 2 on the frame and one is our anti sway strap in the back here. So, when we need to remove those, we just pull down and lift up and we save that anti sway strap for last. We simply pull our bike off. Now, that anti sway straps going to keep a lot of shake and play out of the bike as your heading down road. more

We've got two really nice front and rear wheel cradles here that are going to give us a lot of support for our bike. Today on our 2015 Jeep Cherokee, we've got the Kuat transfer. This is a platform-style three-bike rack. It's been designed for use with inch-and-a-quarter or with two inch hitches. Part umber is TS03G. As you can see, the transfer does a great job of holding our bike in position while we're heading down the road. It uses a rear-wheel strap here, to hold our rear wheel down into the rear wheel cradle, then we've got a front wheel hook that's used to pinch down on the wheel, keeps it into our lower wheel cradle down there.Now we want to set this hook as close as we can get it to the front brake caliper without it actually making contact. more

Let's go ahead and start by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance is going to be down here on the bottom side from this point here to the back side of the bumper. We're about 5 and a half inches but do note that it won't come in any further because of the bracket and piece on the side of the shank down here. This does come with your inch and a quarter shank as well as a 2-inch adapter so will be good for your class 1, 2 and 3 hitches. more

Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Saris Bike Porter. This will be your hanging style 4-bike rack, part number SA404B. As you can see, we've already got a bike on our cradle arms so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and in place on the back of your vehicle. This does come with your 1-1/4" shank as well as your 2" adapter, so it will be good for your Class I, II, and III hitches. Just keep in mind, with your Class I receivers for your 1-1/4" that you're only going to be able to carry up to 2 bikes because of your hitch's specifications and weight classifications. It's going to have a 2" shank that's going to attach to your 2" receiver via an anti-rattle bolt as well. Let's go ahead and start with a few measurements. Our closest distance is going to be from your wheel cradles here to the backside of the bumper at about 6-1/4". Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle is going to be about 42", and our rear ground clearance at about 21-1/2" at this point and about 15-1/2" at that point. more

Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle will be from the rear of the bumper to the backside of the cradle arms that are extended out here at about 33". Our closest distance will be first and that's going to be from the front side of this bracket and angled flange here to the backside of our receiver at about 1-3/4". Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle from the backside of the bumper to the backside of the cradle arms at about 26". We have our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Were going to be doing a test fit of the Pro Series Q-Slot. This is going to be your platform style 4 bike rack part number PS63138. As you can see, weve already got our bike up here on our platform so you can see what its going to look like once you have it installed on the back of your vehicle. It does come with a 2-inch shank for 00:21 2-inch receivers only, as well as an anti-rattle bolt. Lets go ahead and start with our closest measurements. Down here on the bottom side of the shank where it bends to the back side of the receiver will be our closest measurement, at about 2 and a quarter inches. more

Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're going to be doing a test fit of the Swagman Trailhead. This will your hanging style four bike rack. Part number S63380. As you can see we've already got a bike up here on our platform so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it installed on your vehicle. Note that this bike rack does come with an inch and a quarter shank, as well as a two inch adapter, so it will be applicable with your class 1, 2, and 3 receivers. Just keep in mind with your class 1, that you're only going to be able to carry up to two bikes, and that's per your receiver's specification. Hollywood Racks Traveler Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Hollywood Racks Traveler 4. This will be your hanging style 4-bike rack, part number HR8500. As you can see, we've already got a bike up here on our platform and in place, so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully in place on your vehicle. Now, note that this comes with your 1-1/4 inch as well as your 2-inch adapter. That way, it'll be good for your class I, II, and class III hitches. Just keep in mind that with your class I, you're only going to be able to carry up to 2 bikes per your hitch's specifications. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee TH9031XT- Video
Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Vertex Swing, part number TH9031XT. This is going to be your hanging style 4-bike rack, and as you can see, we've already got our bike up here on our cradle arms fully installed so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it on the back of your jeep. This is going to come with a 2-inch shank for your 2-inch receivers only and it's going to be secured using a 3/4-inch anti-rattle bolt. Let's start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be our first measurement from the back side of our bumper to the front side of this T-handle here, at about 5-1/8 inches. Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle will be from the rear of the bumper to the back side of the cradle arms here, at about 35-1/2 inches, and our ground clearance from the bottom side, at about 13 inches from the bottom side of the shank here. Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee TH9029XT- Video
Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Vertex Hanging Style Four Bike Rack, part number TH9029XT. As you can see, we already have our bike on the cradle arms and with the cradle arms extended so you can see what it's going to looking like once you have it all installed and on the back of your Jeep. This is going to have your inch and a quarter shank as well as a two-inch adapter for your class I, II, and III hitches. With your class I hitch, you're only going to be able to carry two bikes and that's going to be with your hitch restrictions. Now down below we'll start off by getting a few measurements. That's going to be from the back side of the bumper to the front side of this flange here at about three inches. Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle is going to be from that rear bumper again to the back side of the cradle arms at about thirty-four and a half inches. more

Saris Freedom Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Saris Freedom. This would be your Platform Style 4 Bike Rack, part number SA4414B. As you can see, we've already got a bike up here on our platform and in place, so you can kind of see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and on the back of your vehicle. This bike rack is going to come with a 2 inch shank for your 2 inch receivers only and be attached using a hitch pin and clip. We'll start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be our first measurement, and that's going to be from that front angled bracket on the front of the rack to the back side of the receiver at about 9 inches. Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle will be from the back side of the bumper to the back side of the cradles at about 37 and 1/4 inches, with our rear ground clearance being that of about 19 inches. Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Saris Thelma. This is going to be your Platform Style 3 Bike Rack, part number SA4239B. As you can see, we've already got a bike up here on our platform, so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and on the back of your vehicle. This is going to have a 1 and 1/4 inch shank for your class 1 and 2 hitches, as well as a 2 inch adapter for your class 3 hitches. Just keep in mind that with your class 1 hitches, you're only going to be able to carry up to two bikes. Let's go ahead and start off with a few measurements. Our closest distance will be our first measurement, from the back side of the bumper to the front side of the rack, at about 3 and 1/4 inches. more

Saris Freedom SuperClamp Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Saris Freedom Super Clamp. This is going to be your platform style 2 bike rack part number SA4025. As you can see it is going to be attached with our 1 1/4 shank with our 2 inch adapter anti rattle bolt and a lock to prevent tampering. That anti rattle bolt is going to be a 3/4 inch anti rattle bolt, your 1 1/4 shank with your 2 inch adapter will make it compatible with your class 1, 2, 3 hitches. Let's start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be from the wheel cradle on either side to the back side of the bumper at about 11 inches. Overall distance that we've added will be from the back of the bumper to the back side of the cradle arms at about 21 inches and our rear ground clearance will be two measurements, one at 19 3/4 inches to the very back and from the bottom side of the shank at about 13 1/8 inches. more
