Today in our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee we'll be doing a test fit on the CURT Hitch-Mounted Hanging Style 4 Bike Rack. That's part number C18030. I've already got it loaded up on the Grand Cherokee just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's going to hold our 4 bikes. It actually holds our 4 bikes with 3 points of contact. We have 2 straps for our top tube here and then 1 strap for our seat-post tube. This one's going to be our anti-sway strap. more

Today on our 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're doing a test fit of the soft ride element parallelogram hanging style-4 bike rack. That Part No. is SR-26248. Now we already have our bike installed. We're going to show you one of the key features of this rack. Unlike any of the other hanging style racks or most of the hanging style racks, this one can actually tilt away from our vehicle with our bikes fully loaded. We're going to come around here to the opposite side and pull out on our T-pin here and that's going to allow us to tilt our bike rack away from our vehicle because it does keep our bikes completely level or parallel with the ground. more

Today on our 2015 Jeep Renegade we'll be doing a test fit on the Yakima SwingDaddy 4-Bike Rack. That's part number Y02464. I've already got it loaded up on the Renegade just to give you a good idea of what it looks like, and how it's going to work with our bikes. One of the best features about this bike rack is it has the ability to swing out away from our Renegade so we can gain better access to our rear hatch. What we want to do is we'll start right here at the black lever, go ahead and rotate it around. Get it just loose enough to where we can wiggle it around like so, and then we'll pull up on the pin here and start bringing it out. Come around in front of the bike rack, rotate it out. more

Today in our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee we'll be doing a test fit on the rocky mounts split rail platform style 2 bike rack. That's part number RKY1140. I've already got it loaded up in the Grand Cherokee just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it secures our bikes. It actually secures our bikes with no frame contact. We've got two spots, we have this wheel hook going over our front wheel putting down pressure into the front wheel cradle and then we have this rear wheel strap, preventing our rear wheel from coming out of the platform. Right away you'll notice that it's an open design. We don't have to worry about dirt and debris collecting within the wheel tray here, it's just going to fall right through. more

All in all there is no frame contact with this bike rack. One of the key features about this bike rack is that it has the ability to tilt away with all 3 bikes loaded so we can gain access to our rear hatch. What we do is we can bring our foot up to this foot pedal here or we can use our hand. more

I've already got it loaded up on the Liberty just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's going to hold our four bikes. It secures our bikes in three spots. We have this frame hook here that's going over our top tube, putting down pressure into our front and rear cradles, and then we have a strap going between our spokes over our wheel, keeping everything in place. Let's go ahead and take our bike off. The first thing we need to do is go ahead and take off those straps, and then we can raise up that frame hook. This front one is acting like a sort of lock so the other one can't come back up. more

We've already got it loaded up on the Jeep Grand Cherokee just to give you a good idea what it's going to look like. It is a hanging style bike rack. It's going to secure our bikes in three spots. We have two straps for our top tube and then one for our down tubes. The one for our down tubes is going to be our anti-sway strap. more

Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be doing a test with a Swagman Quad 2+2, 2-bike, and 4-bike rack. That's part #S64692. I've already got it loaded up on the Jeep Grand Cherokee just to give you a good idea of what's it's going to look like. You can see it's a sizable bike rack. It secures our bike in 3 spots. We have this nice frame hook here that's putting down pressure into our front and rear cradles. Then we have the straps going between our spokes and holding our wheels in place. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Today on this 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to be test-fitting the Swagman Trailhead 4 Bike Rack, part number S63380. As you can see, we already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now how the bike is attached to the rack, we're going to have four points of contact with our bike's frame. We're going to have three straps up top here and one off to the side which is going to be an anti-sway strap to keep it from going back and forth, possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. Now it's always a good habit to go ahead and put the straps back into place once you're done just so you don't lose them while you're driving. With that done, I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements now. The first one is how much distance is added to the vehicle once your bike rack is installed. I'm going to go ahead and measure from the tire here, since that's the furthest point out. more
