Today, we have a 2019 Jeep Cherokee, and so we're gonna test fit the Hollywood Racks Sportrider SE two bike platform rack.Now this is a great accessory for a Cherokee. I's gonna allow you to haul up to two bikes to and from the trails. Really, one of the coolest features about it is that, if you pop off this little reflector piece right here, which is a nice safety feature so people can see the bike rack before they see your vehicle, if you pull this off, you can see that there's a slot where you can put either a two bike addition onto your two bike rack, or even a cargo carrier.Just see etrailer.com and you'll find those different kits if you want those.Now the next feature I wanna show you is pretty standard among most platform racks, is that it can tilt away to give you access to the trunk. So we're gonna come in here first and pull this pin. It's kinda just a safety pin that's supporting it from the bottom. And then we're gonna pull on this pin right here, just a T-slot pin, and let it tilt away.Now from here, we can go open up our trunk. more

Today, we have a 2019 Jeep Cherokee, and we're gonna test it with the Hollywood Racks Sportrider SE four bike platform rack. Now this is a great hitch mounted accessory you just can put on your Cherokee. It'll allow you to haul up to four bikes to and from the trailers or wherever you wanna take them.Now one of the coolest features about this bike rack is that we could take off this two bike addition if we want to, and convert to it a two bike rack if you wanna just take off that extra length. First, you would loosen this handle back here. That's kind of an anti rattle system. Once you loosen that, you're gonna be able to remove this pin and then just pull out the two bike version, and then you could put the cap on fit and convert it to a two bike rack.Now another cool thing you could do is if you wanted to take that off, you could also use the Hollywood Racks cargo carrier to put on the end. more

Now, this is going to be a great product for your Cherokee to allow you to haul two bikes to and from your destination, wherever you want to go. Today on our 2019 Jeep Cherokee, we're going to test fit the Inno Vertical Hang Four-Bike Hanging-Style Rack. This is a great accessory for your Cherokee. It's going to allow you to haul up to four bikes to and from the trail. It's got a unique way of holding your bikes that hasn't been seen before for a hanging-style rack. Instead of having the two bars being parallel to the ground right here, we're going to have two vertical arms that are more parallel with a wall going up and down.Now, how it's going to hold your bike, as we come in closer we're going to see that one cradle is kind of wedged up in that little crease right there where the top tube and the down tube meet. It's kind of just wedged itself down on there and straps down with this strap. more

Today in our 2018 Jeep Compass, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider Platform Style 2-Bike Rack. That's part number HR200Z.I've already got it loaded up, just to give you a good idea of what it looks like on your Compass and show you how it's going to hold our bikes. Now, it actually holds our bikes by their top tube. The rubber-coated frame hook goes over that top tube, puts down pressure into those cradles. And then, in the cradles, we've got a hook and loop strap. So, not a bad way to carry our bikes.You can see here, it's nice and solid. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Today we have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. We're going to be test fitting the Inno Vertical Hang Four Bike Hanging Style Rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches, which is part number INH540. This bike rack is pretty unique. It has a cool way of holding your bikes that hasn't been done a lot. So instead of having two crossbars that are parallel to the ground with each other, they're vertical crossbars and they hold your bike at the cross section of the top tube and the down tube. And then you have a strap in here securing it up top. more

Today, we have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and we're gonna be test fitting the Kuat 2.0 two bike platform rack, which is part number NV22B. This bike rack is very high quality. It's gonna allow you to transport up to two bikes to your destination.It's gonna securely hold your bikes with no frame contact. You can see, it doesn't grip the frame at all, so you don't have to worry about any type of scratches or abrasions. Its two points of contact are gonna be up here on this wheel hook, putting downward force on top of our front wheel, forcing it down into the cradle.Then, on the back we're gonna have this strap that's pulling down on the back wheel, forcing it down onto this platform. One feature I want to point out next is just like a lot of other platform racks. more

Now, this is very high quality two bike platform rack. It's going to hold your bikes very steady with no frame contact, which is a nice feature if you don't want any chance of causing any type of damage to the frame of your bike.It's held in by two different points of contact, like I said no frame contact. We got a strap in the back lower right here securing it onto the platform. Then on front, we're going to have this wheel hook putting downward force on top of our front wheel forcing it down into the cradle.Removing it is very easy. more

We have strap in the back wheels securing it down onto the platform. And we also have a hook on the front that's putting downward force on top of the bike forcing it down into this wheel tray. What's nice about those points of contact is there's no frame contact here at all. more

Today we have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and we're gonna be doing a test fit on the Kuat NV 2.0 4-Bike Platform Rack. Which is part number NV22B-NA22B.It's a very high quality endurable bike rack, it's gonna hold your bikes very well, and it's gonna hold up to the elements as well. The black power coat finish is gonna hold up the rust and corrosion, along with the aluminum construction. It can carry up to four bikes, each weighing up to 60 lbs, so it's gonna be able to accommodate even if you have an electric bike, or even a fat tire bike.It holds your bike in two different spots. We have a strap on the back wheel right here, you can see the wheel, it's just sitting on the platform, and the strap secures it. On the front, we have the front wheel sitting inside the wheel tray right here, and the hook putting downward forward on top of the wheel, forcing it down into the tray.Another great feature, is that we can tilt this away from the vehicle, to give us access to the trunk. more

Now how you do that is you remove the snapper pin here and you can kind of lift up on the rear-end of the bike rack to pull that out. more

It attaches with the zip strips on top here, which are very nice because they're very easy to remove and to place back in.Let's go ahead and take those three off and you just simply remove your bike. Now, while we've got these zip strips here, let me go ahead and show you how you put them on, you just simply place them in there and zip them down. Next, I'd like to show you how the function works of tilting. The bike rack folds in like so. Let's get a measurement on the full length, it's about 24 inches to the outest edge.With it down, it's about 11 inches and the closest point is about five-and-a-half inches. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be test fitting the Thule T2 Classic 2 bike platform rack, and that's going to be part number TH9044. As you can see we do already have a bike installed, so let's take a look at some of the features.Starting from the outside in, we're going to see we have these nice wheel cradles. Right here, we're going to have the back wheel cradle and it's gonna be able to pivot back and forth to accommodate any length bike you might have with a strap that secures it into the cradle and a nice, rubber protector that's going to help protect the frame of your wheel from any damage from the rubber coating of the strap. Upfront, we're going to have this nice wheel cradle, right here, that can accommodate a lot of different size of tires with bikes.We have this little slot, right here, for our road bikes. We can fit mountain bikes right here, and we can fit fat tire bikes up to five inches in width. If we look at the bike itself, we see that it is secured at two different points of contact. more

If you come down to look at these cradles, we're gonna see that they don't pivot back and forth; however, if we do loosen this bolt right here, we can adjust the cradle side to side on the bike rack to accommodate any length bike you might have.If we come and look at our bike, we're gonna see we have three different points of contact where it's secured. Down here, we're gonna see we have a rubber strap that comes up and around and straps by the frame of our bike into the cradle. Now, you're gonna see this rubber protector right there, and that's simply just gonna help protect the frame of our wheel from any type of damage from the rubber strip. We're gonna have the same strap on the other side securing it into the cradle.Up here, we're gonna have this rubber-coated frame hook that's securing it down into the cradles even more. more

That's gonna be part number INH640.Now as you can see, we already have a bike installed so let's take a look at some of the features. Now if we start from the outside and work our way in, we're gonna see right here, we have an integrated cable lock system that starts from the base of our bike rack and comes all the way out and just simply inserts into the latch right there and it's simply just going to secure your bikes to the rack and it's gonna help prevent any type of theft.It's gonna come with a set of keys and how you unlock your cable is simply pull this tab up and there's the insert for your key and once you turn that, it's gonna release the cable allowing you to unload your bikes.These cradles that we have for the frame of our bike are adjustable, pivot back and forth and up and down on our bike rack. So it's gonna accommodate any frame size bike you might have or any type of length of bike you might have. As you can see, there is a nice rubber coated surface on here that's gonna help protect your bike from any type of damage during travel.Now if we go to our bike itself, we're gonna see it's connected at three different points of contact. We have two straps on the top of our bike frame that are secure in their cradles and over here, we have an anti-sway cradle. more

Now, one thing that's very unique about this bike rack is that, like I said, it's a two-bike and a four-bike platform rack. Right now, we have it set up for four bikes, but if you so choose there is a bolt on the other side right here and you'll get a tool with your bike rack to be able to undo it. You can take off the addition of two bikes and switch it to a two-bike rack, and that'll take off a good amount of space if you're only taking two bikes out.As we look in closer, we see each bike's going to have two different wheel cradles to set into. more

This is going to be part number RKY10002.This is a pretty unique bike rack because it has a couple interesting features to it. Much like the other platform style racks out there, this can tilt away from the vehicle with both bikes attached. To do that, they have this handle up at the front here, it's colored blue, you pull that towards you and let the bike rack tilt down like so. And unfortunately, with the wrangler since the door opens out like so, we are going to make contact if we try to do that.But another thing that makes this unique is, that it has the ability to swing out from the vehicle as well with both bikes attached for situations like this. To do that you come to the blue handle here at the base, you turn it to the left to loosen it up. more

Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to do a test fit on the Swagman XTC2. This is a platform style 2-bike rack. As you can see, it folds up nice and compact for easy storage. It's designed for use with a 1-1/4 inch or 2 inch hitches. Part number on it is S64670. Now to begin our test fit, we'll just slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of the hitch. Now one of the most prominent features about this bike rack is not only can it tilt away with all 4 bikes still attached, but it already is equipped to fit fat bikes, and e-bikes up to 50 pounds each. It does that by having a wheel base to have a maximum tire width of 5 inches. Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're gonna be test fitting the Yakima SwingDaddy four bike rack for two inch hitches, this is part number Y02464.We already have our bike installed here, let's take a closer look and something that set this apart from most hanging style bike racks is the fact that this can tilt and swing . excuse me this can swing away completely from the vehicle, giving you full hatch access. Now you can't do this with other hanging style bike racks, especially when all four bikes are still attached, but you can in this situation.To swing it away it's very easy, you come to this handle in the back, loosen it up by turning it to the left all the way until it's hanging out like that, then we'll come to the switch at the front, lift up, and pull away. We'll go until it's about almost 90 degrees then we'll swing just this portion around until you hear that click and then we'll push it out the rest of the way to the side of the vehicle and now we have full access to our rear hatch with no interference from bikes.To put it back in its original position is just as easy, you simply reverse a lot of the processes. However, you do first start with this red switch in the center, you push that down like so to release it from its folded out position bringing it to about just over 90 degrees, pulling this handle here again, and then pushing it back the rest of the way. Finally tightening up that handle at the rear.Now let's take a look at some of the other features here. more

We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is attached to the rack, we're going to have two points of contact with no frame contact at all.Instead, we'll have a wheel hook up at the front, and this does have an integrated cable lock on it which can wrap around the frame of your bike and prevent theft.And at the rear, we have this wheel strap, which is adjustable, the length of this portion here, to accommodate bikes of different sizes. Like with many platform-style bike racks, this can tilt away from the vehicle with both bikes still attached by coming up to the center here and pulling up and letting it tilt towards you.Now, with two bikes on here, it can be a little bit trying to get to that point, so you may need an extra set of hands to help you do this. With that tilted away, now we have full access to our rear hatch to get what we need, and we do have plenty of space in between the vehicle itself and the bike rack to do so. more
