Here's what our brake controller looks like installed. Now, the reason you're going to want a brake controller such as this one is because if you're towing a trailer that has electric brakes, you need to have a way for them to operate. This will allow them to function properly.Now, being a proportional brake controller, this is going to give us the smooth and reliable stops that we're looking for. It's going to apply the brakes on the trailer in a similar manner to how the brakes are being applied in our vehicle.
