Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2010 Volkswagen Routan- Video

Today on our 2010 Volkswagen Routan, we'll be taking a look at and installing the Tekonsha Prodigy II Trailer Brake Controller System, part number 90885, with assistance of part number ETBC7, a brake controller wiring system. Our first step in installing our trailer brake system is going to be to place our mounting bracket on the backside for our 7-way connector. We're going to be using a universal no-drill bracket on the backside, which is going to be part number 18136, and it's going to look about like so. We'll take and we'll place it, depending on your vehicle, this is all going to depend on where you're going to mount it. You can't very well mount it on top because we won't have enough space with the backside of the fascia and bumper. We're going to mount it on the bottom side just like so. Once you have the strapping around, we'll go ahead and place it through the front, and now, we'll start threading it down.
