So the Curt Premium bike rack is a very family friendly bike rack. Why is it family friendly Well, it has a very unique design where the cradles are further apart here towards the beginning. And then when it comes to the end, it tapers or becomes more narrow. And this is especially helpful when you have children's bikes, because your normal hanging style bike racks that have straight arms, it's really hard to maneuver those children's bikes through. more

Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrader.com. Today on our 2017 BMW X5, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Helium Pro 2 bike rack. So this rack does hold up to a total of two bikes. However, if you need to carry more, there's also a three bike version available as well. Now, main question we get asked, especially in regards to hitching bike racks is if you're still going to have full access to your hatch, whenever the rack is on the back of your BMW. Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2017 BMW X5 we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Camber 4 Bike Rack. Now, this can carry up to a total of four bicycles, however if you don't need to carry that many, there's also a two bike version available as well. Now, one of the main questions we get in regards to the hitch-mounted bike racks is if you're still going to be able to easily access your hatch. Well, this one does fold down out of the way and gives us the capability to do that. So, if we just work our way down the rack, we're going to have a gray lever, if you lift up on it, you're able to fold everything out of the way. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 BMW X5- Video
Speaker 1: Today, on our 2016 BMW X5, we're doing a test-fit of the RockyMounts Backstage Platform-Style 2-Bike Rack, that part number is: RKY10002.Now, we already have our bike secured down. We're first going to go over a couple features. First feature I want to go over is our tilting feature, because we can do this with our bikes fully loaded. We're going to come here to our convenient handle in the back, so we won't have to reach between our bikes. We're just going to pull on that and tilt our bikes with our bike rack away from our vehicle. In this position, we are going to gain full access into our back hatch area to get anything in or out that we may need. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 BMW X5, we're doing a test fit of the Thule Hitching Post Pro hanging-style 4-Bike Rack. That part number is TH934XTR.Now, we already have our bike secured down. We're first going to show you how we secure it in place. We have three straps altogether. We've got two over our frame and one is our anti-sway strap in the back. This is going to help prevent swinging back and forth and it's going to prevent your bikes from possibly making contact with each other. more
