Hey everyone, Shane here, with etrailer.com. Today, I have a 2018 Coachmen Leprechaun motorhome. I'm going to walk through how to install Roadmaster's front anti-sway bar. Adding a sway bar onto your vehicle, or an upgraded sway bar on your vehicle, is going to minimize, if not almost eliminate, the body roll and sway that you get. The reason you want a sway bar is our vehicle is top heavy. As we're turning corners, maybe we get a crosswind or you're going over bumps. more

Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer Install - 2017 Coachmen Leprechaun Motorhome

Hi there Coachmen owners, today in your 2017, Coachmen Leprechaun, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmasters steering stabilizer. So before we install our steering stabilizer, we're just going to get a baseline on how our motor home drives. So we're going to go ahead and hit our test course here. And we're going to start in the uneven bump section, and this is going to simulate hitting a pothole. And you can see here already when we hit these potholes it wants to kind of jerk our steering wheel around a little bit and I'm sure you're used to that out there on the road at home driving it.Next, we're going to be heading into our even bump section. And this is going to be simulating a parking garage, or maybe just pulling into your driveway if you've got a little hump there, and with this, you're not going to notice it too much unless you're coming at it at an angle. more

Speaker 1: Today in this 2017 Coachman Leprechaun motorhome with a Ford E450 chassis, we're going to be having a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar, Part Number RM-1139-147.If we have a look at our factory sway bar, the sway bar that we're putting on today is designed to replace this one. We can see how inadequate this one is. It's actually fairly thin for a vehicle this size. It's also hallow, which makes it less rigid than a solid one that we're putting on. So we're going to have more body roll and more flex out of it.Here is what a replacement Roadmaster sway bar looks like installed. If you notice, this is a very substantial sway bar, which is really going to help minimize our body roll and side to side movement of our motorhome as you're driving down the road. more

Speaker 1: Today, in this 2017 Coachmen Leprechaun motor home, on a Ford E-450 chassis, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster front anti-sway bar, part number RM-1139-176.We have a look under the front of our RV, and look up at our factory sway bar here, you can see how small in diameter it is. By being a small diameter, it's not going to be very rigid. And this isn't going to help us too much in minimizing the side-to-side movement of the motor home as we drive down the road. So, also it would tend to lead us to have a little bit more body roll than what we would like to have.We hold up our replacement sway bar to it, you can see how much thicker in diameter it is. This will make it more rigid, and will help to minimize the amount of body roll and side-to-side movement we're going to have as we drive down the road, giving us the stability and safety that we're looking for. Now, here's what our replacement sway bar looks like, installed. As you'll notice, it definitely is a significant upgrade over our factory sway bar and utilizes the same mounting location and end lengths, which makes it for a quick and easy install. Many of our customers, even a year later, have stated that they have noticed a significant decrease in the amount of body roll they experience from going around corners or going over bumps, giving them a smoother and safer ride. more

Speaker 1: Today on this 2017 Coachmen Leprechaun motor home with a Ford E-450 chassis, we're going to be having a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer with Mounting Brackets, part number RM-RBK24-RSSC. Here's what our steering stabilizer looks like installed. Now the reason you're going to want a steering stabilizer for your motor home is simply because it makes it a lot easier for you drive it. It's also going to provide you with a lot safer conditions as you're driving as well. When you're going over bumps or uneven pavement, that can cause your wheels to jerk side to side because they are connected via your tie rod system. So if you hit a bump on the right hand side, it could push your passenger front wheel to the left, which would also push your driver's side wheel to the left, causing your vehicle to go to the left. more
