We all know that Jeeps are very capable vehicles, but putting a roof rack on top of it is going to definitely widen its amount of capabilities. I really like our etrailer basket on top, just because if you have a bunch of people inside, you have a bunch of other stuff in the back, we can actually pretty much double the amount that we can fit in the back up on top of our roof. Another thing you can do is we have J-style carriers that you can put up on top to get two kayaks to and from your destination.With 48 inches of crossbars, we are going to have a lot of different things we can put up on there. So this is a really good option for a roof rack if, for example, you already have Vortex bars from another vehicle that happened to match the same length that you need on the Jeep, and you want to adjust them to be able to use on your hard top on your Jeep. We have our gutter mount feet, our adapter kit to be able to use those bars, and it's a very quiet aerodynamic roof rack system that will allow you to carry a kayak or maybe a couple paddleboards or surfboards. If you're looking for a more factory, or OEM look for a roof rack option, this is going to be definitely the way to go.As you can see, our bars are custom to the width of our roof, or in this case, the hard top gutters. They're not going to protrude out. There's no overhang to worry about adjusting, or anything like that.As far as installation goes, it's quite simple. It may take a little bit of time, but it's nothing difficult, so I highly recommend this roof rack if you need to find a solution to carry your paddle boards, or kayaks, or something like that.All right, so as we take a closer look at our bars right here, you do have the option to use t-track mounted accessories. Keep in mind that, for you to put the t-bolt on here, which I have one to show you, it's not going to go on without removing our leg first. more

This is going to allow you to put all sorts of stuff on top of your car that's going to take up room in your cab.So as you can see, I do have this front bar already mounted and I do have this fit kit mounted, and I'm going to show you how to put on the bar and these feet, so let's just get started.One thing to note, you do want the skinnier side to be facing back kind of like an airplane wing. It's more aerodynamic that way and it's going to cut down on that road noise when you're going down the road.What you want to do is you want to start just by lifting this up and lining up the holes the best you can and start threading it into place. One thing to note, do not fully tighten these down, as it does lock these feet to the bar and it won't allow you to adjust the distance on each side. So just for now all we want to do is just get the thread started. more

Colin: Hey guys, it's Colin here at etrailer. Today we have a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. We're going to do a test fit of the Thule SquareBar Roof Rack System. This is a roof rack system that will mount to the raised side rails of your Cherokee, that's going to allow you to get your favorite rooftop accessories loaded up, whether you got a bike rack, a kayak carrier, or even a cargo box.Up top we have our 47 inch long square bar crossbars from Thule, now these are a bit of an upgrade from their old square bar setup, being that we have a channel on the bottom side of our square bar. So our Evo Raised Rail Feet can slide right into that channel, and it doesn't take up any type of space on top of our crossbar. Now, we have very little cross bar overhang with this setup, so if you do want that extra two to three inches on each side, you can upgrade to the 53 inch crossbars, those are available here at etrailer.We also have our Evo Raised Rail Feet that's holding our crossbars to our raised side rails. more

Today on our 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars with the Rhino-Rack Quick Mount Legs. These crossbars also do come in silver.Having this BackBone system installed is going to help increase the weight that you can carry on the hard top of your Jeep. Having three crossbars as compared to the normal two bar set, is going to allow you to carry more accessories, and it's gonna help evenly distribute the weight across the BackBone system.What's really cool about this BackBone system installed, is that we don't have to remove our crossbars if we want to take the hard top off our Jeep. You can remove it as you normally do. The elliptical shape of our Vortex Aero bars is gonna help cut down on wind noise and drag while we're traveling.We have our Quick Mount Legs which are tightened down onto our crossbars, and those attach to our foot kit. This locking system is a very nice security feature, so that no one can remove your roof rack without the key. more

Speaker 1: Today, in this 2019 Jeep Cherokee, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack System with Aero Crossbars, part number MPG215.Here's what a roof rack looks like installed. Now, the reason you're gonna want a roof rack for you Cherokee is that it will allow you to bring a lot more of your gear and cargo with you, be it from bike racks to cargo boxes, to water sports carriers, it doesn't matter, anything that they make that can go on a roof rack will fit on this.Now, one thing that I really love about this is that it's already preassembled and ready to go out of the box. We don't have to worry about getting any special adapters to go over our factory-raised rails or have to worry about assembling anything, no special feat, kit, or anything like that. We just throw it on top of the roof, make a few measurements, and tighten it on down, and we're good to go.Now, the great thing about it, being that it's aluminum, it's super lightweight so that makes it easy for us to manipulate it and get it over the roof, and don't have to worry about it coming in contact with the roof and potentially scratching the paint. We do have locking cores on each corner of our rack. Also, the tool to tighten it down is stored inside. more

Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack with Backbone Mounting System Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unl- Video

Speaker 1: Today in our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack with the backbone mounting system, part number JA8213.There's a couple of different components to this kit, first we have the backbone support system which is installed on the inside of our hardtop. Right here we're gonna have our leg kit which is what mounts our Pioneer rack to our backbone system and then we have the Pioneer rack itself. With our backbone system installed this is going to increase the workload that your hardtop can handle by a significant amount. There is some drilling involved while this is being installed so you do want to keep that in mind. When it comes up here we're gonna see that with all these supports combined we're gonna be able to carry a much heavier load on top of our hardtop. The weight capacity for our backbone system is 264 pounds. more

Thule Roof Rack Review - 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're going to be test fitting the Thule Aeroblade Edge roof rack system consisting of part numbers TH7602-TH7602. These are the Aeroblade Edge load bars and these also come in black as part number TH602B-TH7602B and to hold them into place on the Jeep Grand Cherokee you'll be using the fit kit part number THKIT3142. The Thule Aeroblade Edge roof rack system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof such as bike racks, cargo baskets or cargo boxes. It does have a nice factory style look to it once they're installed because of the flush mount design of it and it does have this rubber strip up at the top here.That means you can utilize T-track accessories with this once it's installed. To put those in place you simply remove the end cap, remove the strip, slide them into place and then cut the strip the length around it. Yakima Roof Rack Review - 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to be test-fitting the Yakima RoundBar Roof Rack System. And this is going to consist of part numbers Y00410, this is going to be the 66" crossbars, and part number Y00101, and these are going to be the rain gutter towers that attach to your Jeep. The RoundBar Roof Rack System is a pretty decent roof rack system that can carry a wide variety of accessories, such as bike racks, cargo baskets, or cargo boxes on top of your Jeep, and freeing up space on the inside. While these bars are particularly sturdy, they are going to produce some noise while you drive. We do offer fairings that you can find on etrailer.com to help cut down that wind noise and drag as well.With the towers themselves, they simply clamp onto your existing rain gutters here and tighten down in place with these knobs here. At the ends, we do have this plastic knock out that can be taken out and replaced with the Yakima SKS Lock Cores so you can secure this to your roof but also make it keyed alike with the accessories you're hauling as well. more

Best 2017 Jeep Renegade Roof Rack Options- Video

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at and showing you the differences between the best roof rack options available for our 2017 Jeep Renegade.When looking at the differences between these bars the first thing you're going to notice is going to be the actual shapes of them. With the Rhino Rack it's going to be the elliptical, and with the Thule and the Yakima that's going to have the arrow shape. All of these are going to cut down wind noise and drag while you drive and plus all of them have rubber strips up at the top to help out with that as well.Now when it comes to making them extra quiet, with the Rhino Rack it does come with a strip that you will need to cut to length once you have it where you want it and placed it underneath to cut down that wind noise and drag. With the Yakima there is a rubber strip that you would cut to length and put the entire length of the bar to help cut down the noise there. But with the Thule, there's just a tab on the underside here, you slide it forward, and you're good to go.Another difference between these three roof rack systems is going to be how high they sit off the actual factory raised side rails. With the Rhino Rack having the lowest profile and the Yakima having the tallest. more

These are gonna be both the bars and the straps that go around your factory-raised side rails.This is black in color, and it also comes in silver as part number JA7961, which will have the same components, just different colors.The Rhino Rack Vortex Stealth Bars are great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof while freeing up space inside your Jeep Renegade. One of the bonuses about this roof rack system is that it has a low profile design, like you see here. Plus, it almost looks factory installed with how it sits on your factory raised side rails. The bars themselves are elliptical shaped, and that coupled with the rubber vortex arrow strip up top, that's gonna cut down on wind noise and drag while you drive and make it just a little bit quieter while you're driving.This rack installs via the two rubber coated steel strips come up around your factory raised side rails and get tightened down with this apparatus here. Now, I will say that it can be a little difficult installing these, plus you may need to wear gloves because these metal pieces here, they can be a little sharp and a little bit tough on the fingers while you're trying to install them. more
