Today on our 2012 Kia Sorento, we'll be test fitting the Thule Parkway 2 Hitch Mounted Bike Carrier, part number TH958. To mount our carrier to the vehicle, we'll insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. We'll line up our hitch pin hole, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten it down with a wrench. Next, we'll go over a handful of clearance measurements. We've got about 10-1/2 inches of ground clearance and 1 inch of clearance between the closest part of the carrier and the closest part of the vehicle. Overall, we've added about 21 inches of length to the rear of the vehicle. more

A few things to know about this bicycle rack that it will work off an 1-1/4 receiver hitches, both class 1 and class 2 and this will also work with 2 inch receiver hitches with the included spacer and thats what were working with today. Well start off our test fit by installing the bike rack into the hitch and then well tighten down the anti-rattle bolt and put the safety pin on the other side. Then well get some clearance measurements. From the bike rack to the bumper will be about 6 inches as closest point. more

To begin our test fit with the included adapter for the two inch hitch installed on our bike rack shank well slide the shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and allow the integrated locking hitch pin to fall into place. Well then move to the anti-rattle knob where well tighten it down, securing our bike rack to the vehicle. With our bike rack secured well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 11 inches, and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is four and a half inches. Well now pull the hitch switch here at the bottom of the mast to allow the mast to tilt down. more

Today on our 2013 Kia Sorento, well be test fitting part number PS63134; this is the Pro Series Q-Slot Platform Style 2 Bike Carrier for both 1-1/4 and 2 hitches. Now with our 2 adaptor installed on our shank well slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install our hitch pin. We can then install the safety clip on the other side of the pin which will secure our bike rack to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements, our ground clearance at the back of the bike rack is 16-1/2 and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 7. Well now go ahead and unfold the bike rack platform and check for cargo access and as you can see we can gain cargo access opening our cargo door completely with this bike rack. Were now almost ready to load our bike, well only need to make sure our wheel loop straps our undone and out of the way and that our vertical bar clamp is fully extended. more

At this point, well go ahead and give you a few clearance measurements, and our ground clearance measurement is 10 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 5 inches.Now well go ahead and unfold the bike rack and open the rear cargo door to gain cargo access. more

Today we have a 2012 Kia Sorento and were going to test fit the Rhode Gear Highway 2 Bike Carrier for 11/4 inch and 2 inch hitches, part number RG8015220. First were going to insert the rack into our receiver and line up the bolt holes. We have a 2 inch hitch on our Kia Sorento so we will be keeping the 2 inch adaptor thats installed on our Rhode Gear rack. Next well take the threaded hitch pin and feed it through our pin hole on our receiver and thread it into the bike rack. Then we will tighten it down using either the included range or a 31/4 inch range. We will secure the pin on the other side with our clamp. more

Thule Doubletrack Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Kia Sorento th990xt- Video
Today on this 2011 Kia Sorento we are going to do a quick test fit of part number TH990XT from Thule. This is Thules Doubletrack Platfrom Style Bike Rack. This bike rack will work with 2 inch receivers as shown here, it will also work for class one and class two receiver hitch. We will go ahead and install the bike rack into the hitch; we will line up the install holes and install the anti-rattle bolt. Now the kit does come with a wrench to tighten it down, but a inch wrench will work as well, and the lock on the other side. Alright the bike rack is in its stored position. more
