Hi everyone, it's Evangeline and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Saris MHS 2 Bike Platform Rack right here on our 2020 Jayco Melbourne Motorhome. So this bike rack is actually gonna be one of my recent favorite bike rack's for motorhomes and RVs. It has that great weight capacity of 80 pounds per bike. Has a lot of stability of the bike on the rack and its RV compatible. So when you're looking at bike racks for E-bikes for your motorhome, usually you're gonna have to deal with a lot of extra levers and straps and knobs but this is a dual wheel mount rack that makes it a lot easier to get your bike on and off the rack. Plus you have some extra features that may help out with that compared to other bike racks we have to do a lot of heavy lifting. more

So there's a lot of things that this bike rack has going for it, and the versatility for different types of bikes is awesome too. But it also has its downsides, like it doesn't tilt away. So if you do need to open up the hatch on your Forester, you are gonna have to remove your bike and lower that mast in order to lift that door up. more

Hi Matt with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about our Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack on our 2021 Nissan Murano. Now this is gonna be a great option for you if you're looking for kinda like a mid-range bike rack that's gonna be able to accommodate really heavy e-bikes. It's gonna be able to handle at most 80 pounds per bike, holding up the two of them, and we're gonna have three points of contact and we're gonna have one strap on each tire that sits in these cradles, and we're gonna have this ratcheting hook that's padded and the center making contact with our frame. Since we are making contact with the frame, I wouldn't recommend using any carbon frame bikes on it or even some alternative frame bikes on it. So we're still gonna have our tilt away feature and to do that, it's gonna be a little bit of a process, but we're gonna actually have to remove this safety clip and pull this pin out, you might have to lift up on the rack just a little bit, then when I have to pull this other pin and let it fall back, and sometimes you might have to jostle that extra pin in the back, but sometimes it'll just fall past that and unlatch for you. more

This guy has a solid, black powder-coat finish design, so it's gonna give you solid, rust-resistance. Also, the weight capacity for this guy is up to 60 pounds per e-bike. The OnRamp is also RV-rated, but it does drop your capacity down to 40 pounds per bike. So this is also up, makes contact with the frame of your bike. more

How's it going guys This is Ed here and we're taking a look at our Swagman E-spec electric two bike carrier on the back of our 21 Nissan Murano. Alright, and the E-spec is constructed of black powder coated steel can support your e-bike up to 60 pounds per bike, right And your bike is actually gonna attach to the E-spec at three points of contact. You have a padded hook at the top of your frame as well as two padded cradle and straps for your front and rear tire. Because this is gonna make contact with the frame of your bike. I wouldn't recommend this to you if you have a carbon bike or anything with a fancier paint job where you didn't want any contact to the frame. Alright, and this guy's super easy to take off. more

A bike carrier like this is gonna work great if you have like a more common type of bike frame, if you have something that's carbon fiber or you have a nicer paint job, you may wanna avoid this 'cause it will make contact with the bike's frame. So the Destination is rated for 35 pounds per bike. As far as the system is of removing the bike, it's pretty easy. more

Kuat Piston Pro X Bike Rack Review- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Piston Pro X Four Bike Rack. Now the Piston Pro X is going to be a really premium platform style bike rack, platform meaning the bikes sit on top of the rack here, and this is going to be really great for a wide variety of bikes, including carbon frame and alternative frame. Because it doesn't make any sort of frame contact, it uses this dual wheel mount design where these arms will ratchet over both tires, which make it very quick and easy to load and unload, again while keeping that frame safe. Now the way it does this is with the integrated piston, so those arms will open up at the press of a button. So one handed operation is very easy with this and one of the other things that sets the Pro X apart is the built-in taillights. more

So the OnRamp is pretty popular with motor homes because it has an included ramp attached to the rack which is pretty impressive and it does have a heavy weight capacity except for when it is on your motor home. Since it sits further away compared to when it's on a car there's gonna be a lot more movement there. So the weight capacity is gonna go down to 40 pounds per bike. So for your lighter e-bikes this is still gonna be good, for the heavier e-bikes, just really double check that weight. more

This is the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 hitch-mounted bike rack that we've installed on our 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe. Now the Destination 4 is gonna be a platform-style bike rack, and it does have a curved platform to it, so that's gonna accept more different wheel bases on your bikes. Now just to note, this does make frame contact primarily. So if you are a little sensitive about your carbon fiber bike frames, this may not be the rack for you. more

So, if you're looking to carry around some extra heavy bikes, you're gonna need an extra heavy-duty rack. This has a 70-pound weight capacity, which is very impressive. Plus, it is rated for motorhomes. This bike rack is gonna be sitting pretty far back, so there's gonna be a lot of road movement. Fortunately, it comes with RV hardware that really tightens down on that rack and makes sure that you have a sturdy ride no matter where you're going. more

This is gonna be a pretty entry level hitch-mounted bike rack, and this is going to be a platform-style bike rack, which means the bike sits on top of the rack. That is my preferred way to carry a bike just because it's generally a little bit more accommodating. Hi Matt with etrailer. Today we're gonna talk about the Yakima Full Tilt Bike Rack on the 2023 Nissan Rogue. Now this is gonna be a great option if you have a family, if you like going out riding with friends and you need to haul out of bikes, this is gonna be able to do it. Now this is gonna be a hanging style bike rack and it's gonna have a weight capacity of 40 pounds per bike but the carrier itself only has a weight capacity of a 150 pounds. So keep that in mind to not overload it if you have all bikes that are 40 pounds. We're also gonna have three tie-down points. more

Hey everyone, it's Yvie Angeline here at etrailer, and today we have Yakima OnRamp two-bike rack for electric bikes, and we're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2018 Newmar Ventana motor home. For your Ventana motor home, it may be a little tricky to get bike racks on here because of the clearance. So because of where our hitch receiver is and how long the bike rack is, I actually was not able to put a bike on the inside. That's more because of the handlebars, though, if you had shorter handle bars, let's say for a road bike, you would probably be okay. But here's some measurements for you so that right off of the bat you'll be able to see how much clearance you have. So what we're gonna do is, we're going to measure from our bumper to the tray, and that's gonna be 12 inches, or one foot. more
