Now I know what you're thinking, "Do these things actually work" Yes, they do. Obviously, for like extreme situations, these aren't gonna work for you. But I find out here, especially in the Midwest, 80% of the snow and ice issues that we have out here, this is a great option, especially on the Mini Cooper here where you're going to have limited clearance. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about the Titan Chains Snow Tire Chain Twist Links on the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz. On our front axle, since that's what's recommended per the manual, but if your manual says something else, I'd go with that, and that's gonna be on our 245/60R18 tires. Since these are gonna be some larger chains, they're gonna sit very close to our wheel well, so if I put my hand back here, the space between the links and our suspension, it's only gonna be at finger width apart, so that's gonna sit very close, so if this loosens up any when you're driving, that can make contact. But if that's not a worry for you, then we can talk about the specs. I'd recommend these chains to anyone who needs to go through any deeper snow, but you wanna do it with a smooth ride. more

Hi Matt with etrailer. Today when we talk about the Konig Self-tensioning Tire Chains on the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz. Now, our chains are gonna be on our tires of 245 60 R18 and it's recommended per the manual to have 'em on our front axle so that's where we're gonna have 'em at. But if your manual says something different then kind of refer to that. This is gonna be an excellent choice if you're looking for something that's still gonna have a bite through the snow. So if you're in any area it's with a decent amount of snow, maybe not heavy snow and you want something that's gonna be really easy to get on and want that smooth ride. more

Hi, Matt with Etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Pewag Servo RS tire chains on the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz with the 245/60-R18 tire size. Now, we have them on our front tires today. That's just kind of what it recommends for the manual, but if your manual says something else, go by that. If you're looking for something that's not gonna be really big and bulky, something more lightweight, then I'd recommend these chains, since they are smaller, and they're still gonna have that ability to really bite through snow and ice. And another feature that is really nice about this is they're self-tensioning, so as you're driving on the road, you don't have to worry about 'em loosening up. Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about the Titan Chains Twist Link snow tire chains on the 2023 Toyota Highlander. We're gonna have them on our 235 65 R18 tires and it's gonna be situated on our front axle as per the owner's guide. Always make sure you check yours as well. One thing I would like to note is that the Highlander does have a lot of limited wheel well clearance, but I think these chains can be very nice if you do find yourself in areas with a lot of snow and maybe ice. In the manual it doesn't say it needs to have S class chains and honestly these are probably gonna be one of your better options if you do have a lot of snow in the area, you need something with a little bit more bite than your smaller chains. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer and today we're gonna be talking about the Titan Chain's twist link snow tire chain with cams on the 2023 Toyota Highlander. We're gonna have these on our 235/65 R18 tires. And per the owner's manual we're gonna have 'em on the front axle. Now I'd always recommend checking what your owner's manual says as well. These chains are gonna be a good fit for the Highlander because they're a lot more low profile than a lot of the other chains we've done today since they are a twist links and they're a little bit lower profile, which means with our Highlander that has its limited wheel well clearance, we're still gonna have a decent amount of space back here. Taking a closer look at our twist links you can kind of see how they twist into one another and that's just gonna help you get more bite into the snow and some ice. more

Today our chains are gonna be on these 235, 65, R18 tires, and it's only on our front axle, as per the owner's manual. But I always recommend, always check your owner's manual, just to make sure. These are gonna be a great set of chains if you're just looking for something that's gonna be really easy and quick to install, and all you really need to do is press down on your foot to get it on there. What's also nice is you really don't even have to get on the ground to put 'em on there, You can pretty much put 'em on entirely from the kneeling position. A nice feature about these chains is that they're low profile, so they do meet class standards. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talkin' about the Knig Easy-fit tire chains on the front of the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. If we look at our tire chain pattern, it's gonna be a diamond shaped, and what that means it's gonna provide for a smoother ride. Now, our chains are gonna come two to a set in this bag. If we take a look inside, we'll notice we have this little bag here and inside this bag is just gonna be instructions and additional supplies that help protect your rim and extra, any extra chain links and instructions. But, if we look here on the bag itself, we notice it also has a set of instructions of how to put on and how to remove. And if you look at the very bottom, it also shows you it doubles as a kneeling pad. more

Hi, Mel with the Etrailer here. Today we're gonna be talking about the Konig XG-12 Pro self-tensioning tire chains on a 2022 Dodge Durango. Some points to look at for these chains are they're gonna last a long time since they made out of that alloy steel. They're gonna be very versatile since they're the square chains and they're diamond-shaped so they can go in a lot of different conditions, and they've got that self-tensioning to them as well. If we look at these individual chain links, they're gonna be square-shaped, and that's gonna give us the ability to really tear through that snow and ice, so they're gonna give us better traction. If you are expecting a lot of extreme weather and you're looking for some extremely heavy duty chains then these are gonna be the ones for you. They are gonna be bulkier, larger and will provide a lot more traction than a usual which might be good for some situations. But if you're just expecting a little bit of snow and maybe a tiny bit of ice then I do recommend taking a look at some other chain offerings that we have here at etrailer. These are gonna be ladder pattern-style chains, so that means it's gonna go across the tire with rollers on there so you have a smoother ride. So that also means it's not gonna dig in any ice very well, but it's gonna be really good for starts and stops in the snow. Even heavy snow, you can get through that and get you some grip when you're driving. The chains are gonna be made out of a low-carbon steel so we're gonna be good for probably one season of regular use in the snow but really good for if you just need them by law, wherever you live, you have to keep them with you at all times. more

Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2022 Mazda CX-9- Video
Hey, everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Konig XG-12 Pro Self-Tensioning Tire Chains on our 2022 Mazda CX-9 using tire size P255/50R20. Now, reading over the Mazda owner manual before we we're looking into these tire chains, we did discover that there are two different tire sizes offered for the CX-9. Now, the owner's manual only recommend the tire chains to be used on our other size, so if you do live in an area of high snow and ice, we would recommend maybe looking into swapping out your tires. However, we did discover that the tire chains do fit on this tire size here today, but either way, the owner's manual does instruct us to use them on our front axle. Taking a little bit closer look at our chain, we can see that our links are going to be made out of the manganese nickel alloy, it means that they're just going to be very corrosion resistant and be able to stand up to multiple years of uses across those weather conditions. more

Konig Standard Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2022 Mazda CX-9- Video
Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Konig XB-16 assisted tension tire chains on our 2022 Mazda CX9. Just a quick disclaimer, we did look into the Mazda owner's manual when determining tire chains for our tires here today and we found that the tire size 255/50 R20 is actually not recommended for tire chains in the Mazda owner's manual, the other tire size available is so if you live in a area with high snow and ice, it is recommended possibly for you to change over your tires but we have found that if you just need tire chains in sense of emergency that these are going to fit just fine. Either way, regardless of your tire size, we are going to install them on our front axle. Taking a closer look into our chains we can see that they are made up of these square links here which are just going to be a bit more aggressive and help break up that snow and ice a lot easier. The chain overall does make a diamond pattern around our wheel, which just helps us with that side to side motion when driving not really increasing or decreasing any of our starting or stopping power. more

Hi everybody. Cooper here at etrailer and today we're going to be taking a look at the glacier chains, snow tire chains on our 2021 Nissan Rogue using tire size 235/60 R18. And per our owner's manual, we are going to be installing them on our front axle. Now these tire chains are going to be a great option for you whether you live in an area that gets really light snow or maybe you live in a state that requires you to carry around a tractioning device. And the main reason for that is that these tire chains do have these steel rollers on top here, which aren't going to give us a lot of traction in some of those heavier snow and icy climates. Our tire chain is going to be made out of a low carbon steel, which just means that compared to some of the other tire chains that have some sort of alloy base to them that they're not going to last as long or across as many multiple seasons depending on your usage, whether light or heavy. more

And per our instruction manual, we are going to be putting them on our front axle. If you live in an area that gets a lot of snow and ice, these tire chains are going to be perfect for you. Our square link design means that we're going to be able to bite into that snow and ice really easily. And overall, the diamond shaped pattern that our tire chains have means that it's going to have a lot of coverage on your tires to help with that turning. more

Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2021 Dodge Durango- Video
Cooper here at etrailer and today we're going to be taking a look at the Konig XG-12 Pro Tire Chains on our 2021 Dodge Durango using tire size 265/50-20. Make sure that you use our fit guide here at etrailer to make sure that you're getting the right size tire chains for your right size tires. Additionally, for this car specifically, we are installing them on the rear axle so make sure you go ahead and check your user's manual to see which axle that they recommend you installing your tire chains on. Our tire chains here are gonna have this diamond pattern which is going to get us a lot more coverage across our wheel compared to something like a laddered pattern. Which the ladder pattern really just helps with that starting and stopping, it has a little bit rougher riding than our diamond pattern, which is going to help a lot more with our side to side motions. Taking a little bit closer look into our chains, we can see that they're made of these square links. more

When checking out tire chains for your vehicle be sure to pick out the right ones for your vehicle. It's important to look at your tire size, plug that information into our fit guide to find the right ones for you because if you have a different tire size this one might not work for you. The chains are designed to work with a range of tire sizes but you wanna make sure again, you pick up the right ones that have the right fit. This is a diamond pattern chain and what that means is rather than having the links go just in perpendicular lines across the tire, these form a sort of diamond shape, that gets you a little bit more coverage over the tire, resulting in a somewhat smoother ride quality, less bumpy compared to ladder pattern style but also it's gonna give us better traction on turns. more

So these are going to be low profile roller chains, and we'll take a look at how they fit our 2023 Honda CR-V. So if you're expecting some extreme weather and you know you're gonna need a little extra traction on the road, or maybe you're driving through an area that requires that you have tire chains in your vehicle, well, this will be one of the options available for you. Many people recommend cable chains or chains with rollers because they're a lot more low profile. I prefer chains that have links because those are easier to attach, but these definitely are on the smaller side. They provide a smoother ride all around where they have rollers that go around your cables, and that way if you have snow on the road and you need to move through that, then this will help in that situation. more
