Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Kia Sorento- Video
Today, on our 2016 Kia Sorento, we're test fitting this Swagman XE2. This is a platform style 2 bike rack. It's been designed for use with inch and a quarter or with two-inch hitches. The part number on it is S64650. Now, the XE2 is going to use two wheels hoops and a frame hook to hold our bike into position. It's a really nice steady bike rack. more

First thing I'm going to show you is the swing away feature and then we'll go over how the bike is strapped down and some additional features as well. We're going to come around here to the back side of the rack, first thing we're going to want to do is pull out this T-pin here and just set that off to the side. Come down to this knob at the bottom and we're just going to undo it until it's completely loose and it just hangs down. more

Today on our 2016 Kia Sedona we're doing a test fit of the Thule Vertex hanging-style 4-bike rack. That part number is TH9029XT. Now a great feature of this is that it does work with 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. We've already got out bike loaded up so we'll go over how that's strapped down and then we'll go over some additional features as well. First thing we see here is that we have two cradles holding our bike down with three straps, two on our frame and then the one down here is our anti-sway strap. That's going to keep a lot of the shake and play out of the bike as you're heading down the road, so you're not going to have it swing and possibly hit your vehicle or damage anything. To release those we're just going to pull down and lift up. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Kia Sedona S64684- Video
Today on our 2016 Kia Sedona we're doing a test fit of the Swagman Dispatch Platform Style 2-Bike Rack. That part number is S64684. We already have our bike on the rack. We're first going to show you how we strap that down then we'll go over some features of the rack itself. At both our front and back tire we've got wheel cradles holding that in. We also got a regular ratcheting strap that you'll see on most of your bike racks. It also has a bushing on there to help fit different types of bikes that you have, so if you smaller tires like we do here that'll fit those perfectly, and then if you have larger tires you can easily just flip those over. To release those we're just going to push down and lift up. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Kia Sedona- Video
Today, on our 2016 Kia Sedona, we're doing a test fit of the Kuat Transfer Platform Style 3-Bike Rack. That part number is TS03G. Now, this bike rack is designed to work with 1-1/4 inch and 2-inch hitches, and the first thing I want to show you on this is the tilt-away feature because with our platform style here, we can tilt-away our bike rack with our bike still on there. I'm just going to move these wheel hooks out of the way and hang onto them to be able to tilt the bike rack down. I'll push on this pedal with my foot and tilt that away. Now, with our bike in this position, we can open up our hatch. One thing I do want you to note is that with this bike we do have to move our handle bars out of the way just a little bit before they make contact there, so what I'm going to do is push the bike a bit, and we can clear that hatch there. more

We have 2 cradles holding down the bike, and then 3 straps, 2 on the frame here and then 1 as out anti-sway strap here in the back. It's going to keep that bike from shaking back and forth, or swaying, and possibly damaging your vehicle. To release those we're just going to push down on the gray levers on either side and lift our straps out. more

Hollywood Racks Traveler Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 Kia Sedona- Video
Today on our 2012 Kia Sedonna we're going to be doing a test fit of the Hollywood Racks Traveler four bike rack. This is going to be your hanging style four bike rack. Part number HR8500. It does come with a 2 inch shank as well as an 1 1/4 shank as well as a 2 inch adapter. So it can work with your class 1,2 and 3 receivers. Just keep in mind that if you do plan on using it with your class 1 receivers that you do make sure that you're weight of your bikes and that you only carry two bikes and that is per your hitches weight specifications. Let's go ahead and move down and talk about the 3/4 inch anti-rattle bolt that's going to keep it nice and secure on the back of the vehicle. Making it a one item instead of a stand alone item by itself. more

Today on our 2012 Kia Sedona, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Hollywood Racks Traveler five bike rack. This is going to be your hanging style five bike rack coming with a two inch shank for your two inch receivers only and it's going to be part number HR9200. As you can see, we've already got our bike up here so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully installed and on the back of your vehicle. Note that we did put it back here on the second strap that way we could show you the anti-sway strap which we'll go over here in a moment. Let's go ahead and start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will down here on the bottom, to where that angle bracket comes down and meets the shank at about eight inches. This bike rack comes with an inch and a quarter shank as well as a two inch adapter securing with a three quarter inch anti rattle bolt. It will be compatible with your class one, two and three receivers but if you do decide to use it with your class one receivers, you're going to need to keep in mind that you're only going to be able to carry up to two bikes and you're going to need to know the weight of those bikes and the weight specifications of your receiver that you intend on using it with. Let's go ahead and start off with getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be first down here at the bottom side to the backside of the bumper at about two and three quarter inches to this point here. Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle from the back of the bumper to the back of the cradle arms at about thirty three and three quarter inches and our ground clearance will be about ten and three eighths inches. more

Today on our 2012 Kia Sedona we're going to be doing a test fit of the SportRack Ridge Swing. This is going to be a your hanging-style four-bike rack with the swing-away option, part number SR2415. As you can see, it does come with a 2" shank for your 2" receivers only, attaching a 3/4" anti-rattle bolt that's going to help to reduce a lot of the sway, rattle, and wobble. We also have our bike on here so you can see what it's going to look like once you have a completely installed and in place on the back of your vehicle. So let's start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance down here on the bottom is going to be about 3 3/4" from the backside here to back of the bumper. Now, note that this rack does come with a 1-1/4-inch shank as well as that 2-inch adapter, and it will work with your class I, II, and III receivers. Kuat NV Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 Kia Sedona- Video
Today on our 2012 Kia Sedona, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Kuat NV, platform-style four-bike rack, part number N105-107. As you can see we've already got a bike up here on our platform so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and ready to hit the road. This bike rack does come with a two-inch shank to fit into your two-inch receivers only. It also comes with a pin and a lock and anti-theft device. So let's go ahead and start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance is going to be about 5-5/8 inches. Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle, from the rear of the bumper to the back of the rack is going to be about 45-3/4 inches. And our ground clearance here at the back side is going to be about 21-1/2 inches. All right, this rack does have a tilt option, and it's more intended for your larger stature SUVs and pickup trucks, being that when you place this into the tilt position, it's going to rest on the ground. Now you can still use it with this because it does have the two-inch shank for your two-inch receivers. When we open up that rear hatch, it won't allow you to open it up all the way just because of how it's designed and how the vehicle's designed with the large hatch on the back side. more

As you can see we've already got our bike up here on our platform, so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and in place on the back of your vehicle. This rack does come with an 1-1/4" shank as well as a 2" adapter and it's going to be attaching using a 3/4" anti-rattle bolt with an anti-theft or tamper lock on the end. The one thing I am going to point out though, is since it is compatible with your Class I, II and III receivers, if you do intend on carrying this on your Class I receiver, please make sure that you know the weight of your bike and that you only carry up to two bikes. more

Today on our 2014 Kia Optima we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Double Track platform-style 2-bike rack. As you can see here, we've already got it up on our vehicle installed, fitted, so you can see what it looks like and how it fits. We're going to go through how to break it down and how everything comes together. It's going to be part number TH990XT. First things first, we're going to get a few measurements starting with your closest distance first, which in this case is going to be from the bracket here to the back side of the bumper at about 3-1/4". Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle to the back of the cradle arms here at about 30-1/4", and ground clearance at about 15". Now we'll give you your ground clearance from this side as well, which looks like it's going to be about 8-3/4". Now let's take the bike down. more

It's been designed so you can use it with the 1-1/4" or 2" hitches regardless of whether it's class one, two, or three. The part number on it is S63380. The Trailhead's going to use four straps to hold our bike in place. We're going to have three that come across our frame, and then we've also got one here to prevent that forward and back movement of the bike during transport. more

Today on our 2015 Kia Sedona we will be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler Tilting 4 Bike Rack. That's part number HR8500. This can be used for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. We can go ahead and start by inserting our shank into our receiver. We'll go ahead and line up our pin holes. Once we get those lined up we'll take our anti-rattle bolt and go ahead and begin threading that through and tighten that down the rest of the way with our wrench. By tightening this it's going to help reduce the play and the rattle within our hitch in our bike rack, as you can see there. more

Today on our 2015 Kia Sedona, we'll be test fitting the Thule Hitching Post Pro Folding Tilting 4 Bike Rack, that's part number TH934XTR. This can be used for either 1 1/4 or 2 inch hitches. We've got a 2 inch hitch here today. We can go ahead and begin by inserting our shank into our receiver. We'll go ahead and line up our pin holes, and we've got those lined up we'll go ahead and take our anti rattle bolt, begin threading that through and then we'll grab our socket wrench and finish tightening that down. Nice thing about the anti rattle bolt here is that it's going to help reduce the play and the wobble within our hitch and our bike rack as you can see there. Now we can take a few measurements starting with our nearest point its like it's going to be from here to our bumper and that is about 5 inches away. more

We can go ahead and start inserting our shank into our receiver. We'll line up our pinholes. Once we get our pinholes lined up, we'll go ahead and take our anti-rattle bolt, thread that through. We'll take our socket wrench and tighten that the rest of the way down. more

We've got a 2 inch hitch here today so we can go ahead and start by inserting our shank into our receiver and line up our pin holes. Once we have those lined up, we'll go ahead and take our anti-rattle bolt and go ahead and start threading that through. Once we get that hand tight and all the way, we'll go ahead and tighten it down with our socket wrench the rest of the way. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Kia Sedona- Video
Today on our 2015 Kia Sedona, we'll be test fitting the Swagman Trail Head Tilting 4 Bike Rack, that's part number S63380. This can be used for 1 1/4 or 2 inch hitches. We can do to begin we can go ahead and insert our shank into our receiver until our pin holes are aligned up. All right that looks pretty good and we'll take our anti rattle bolt, go ahead and thread that through. We'll take our socket wrench and tighten that the rest of the way down and by tightening this it's going to help reduce the play and the rattle within our hitch and our bike rack as you can see there. Put our clip in and then we'll take a few measurements. Starting with our nearest point, its like it's going to be from here to our bumper here and I want to say that's right about 3 1/2 inches away from there to there. more
