Now well go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements. We have about 10 1/2 inches of ground clearance. With the bike carrier in the folded position weve added about 11 inches to the overall length of our vehicle. Now well go ahead and pull the red knob at the base of the carrier to allow our carrier to tilt. more

The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about 10". And with the cradle arms folded down, we've added about 13" to the overall length of our vehicle. We'll now turn the two black knobs on the upright mast of the carrier to swing out the cradle arms. more

Now well go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 12 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack mast to the back of the vehicle is 3-1/4 inches. Now our anti-rattle knob is 1/2 inch from the bumper. Well now go ahead and pull the hitch switch at the top of the bike rack mast to bring out the dual arms where we can undo the straps to expose our cradles. more

Today, we have with us a 2009 Honda Odyssey and we're going to be test fitting the Thule Hitching Post and Hitch Mounted Bike Carrier, part number TH934XTR. To mount this carrier to our vehicle, we'll insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll line up the hitch pin holes and then well feed in our anti-rattle bolt, and we'll use the 3/4-inch wrench to tighten it down. Once we've done that, we'll check for rear vehicle access. We'll remove the pin at the base of the bike rack and tilt it down. We'll open the hatch of our Odyssey and make sure we can still access our cargo area. more

Today on our 2009 Honda Odyssey, we're going to be test fitting the Rhode Gear Highway 2 Hitch Mounted Bike Carrier, part number RG8015220. To mount our bike carrier to our vehicle, we'll insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. We'll line up the hitch pin holes and we'll feed our anti-rattle bolt in and we'll tighten it down using a 3/4-inch wrench. Next, we're going to check for rear vehicle access. We'll remove the pin at the base of the bike rack and tilt it down to make sure we can still open the cargo area of our Odyssey. Now, we'll put the bike rack back up and go over some clearance measurements. more
