So we have three hitches here that I find are the best hitch options when choosing one for your Tiguan. And a lot of times hitches kind of just look the same. So if you're looking to purchase one, you're probably going, "Well, what's the difference "between X, Y, and Z" And we're gonna break that down for you. And we have the three here, one being the Draw-Tite, next we have an etrailer, and then finally we have a Curt. Now the first thing you're probably gonna notice out the gate is this Draw-Tite does look a little bit different, and that's because the receiver tube is in line with the crossbar, where the other ones are a little bit lower, and that does make for a different fit on the Tiguan as well. more

Hi there Tiguan owners. Today, on your 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Draw-Tite's 1 1/4 inch trailer hitch receiver. And this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. The cross tube is gonna be hidden behind the bumper, so you won't really see that. You're just gonna see the receiver here at the back. It's a 1 1/4 by 1 1/4 inch receiver, so it's gonna be great for accessories and some very light-duty towing. more

Hola, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the etrailer class two trailer hitch on a 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan. Now, this is what your hitch is gonna look like once it's installed on your vehicle. And it is pretty nice looking, as you just had the receiver tube opening and the rest of it is actually a hidden cross tube. So it gives it that OEM look, you're not really sacrificing kind of having that hang down of a hitch as some vehicles have that kind of give it a utility look. This still has that OEM appearance, yet you're still able to have that hitch ready to use. more

Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan- Video
Today, on this 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan, we're going to review and install a Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, Part Number 76192.This is what the hitch looks like when installed on our Tiguan. You notice it sits below the bumper and fits through an opening that we made right here. A little close detail is that we have a 2" wide opening, the standard for Class III receiver hitches. We also have a 5/8 of an inch diameter hole right here for your hitch pin or your locking hitch pin.We have a smaller diameter hole here, which is used for J-Pin stabilization pin, which only works with these hitches that have two holes like this. This is a great hitch to use with any accessories that don't have their own anti-rattle device.On the bottom here, we have our common inaudible 00:00:43 loops right here, and looking straight on you can see the rest of the receiver hitch goes to the left and right side of the vehicle, and is hidden by the bumper. So, it makes for a nice, neat fit.Take a look off to the left hand side, you can see there's a small metal bracket coming over to the plastic here. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan - Curt- Video
Speaker 1: Today on this 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan we will be having a look at and showing how to install the CURT Class 2 trailer hitch receiver, part number C12177. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. Now what's great about this hitch is that the main frame of it is completely hidden behind our rear fascia. The only part that you'll see hanging down is our Class 2 1-1/4" receiver itself. Now this Class 2 receiver has an 1-1/4" receiver opening, which will work great with your Class 1 and Class 2 hitch accessories. If you already have bike racks and cargo carriers in that size, perfect hitch for you to use.On the side of our receiver you will find a 1/2" diameter hitch pin hole to secure any of our hitch-mounted accessories. more

Speaker 1: Today on this 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part #C13381. Here's what the hitch looks like installed. What's great about this hitch is that the frame of it is completely hidden behind the rear fascia. The only part that you see hanging down is our actual Class 3 2"x2" receiver itself. You'll notice we have plenty of clearance around the end of our receiver from our fascia. This'll make it a great hitch to use with any of your hitch mounted accessories. more
