Installation Guide for the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect - 2024 GMC Canyon- Video
Hey, everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2024 GMC Canyon, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Roadmaster automatic battery disconnect switch. So with these Canyons, whenever you're getting ready to flat tow 'em, the manufacturer does require that you disconnect the battery. And if it we inchesre me and I was setting one of these up, initially, I would probably think, "Whatever, not a huge deal. "I'll just disconnect it and reconnect it "when I'm going through that flat towing process." And, honestly, I could see that getting old pretty quick. Having to pop the hood, get your tools out, disconnect it, do the opposite whenever you're ready to drive it around, so on and so forth. more

A Closer Look at the Front Runner Racks Pro Fork-Mount Bike Rack- Video
Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Front Runner Pro Bike Rack for quick-release bikes. To secure the front of our bike, we're going to have a nine millimeter skewer to clamp down on it. It'll work just like your quick-release on your bike, you'll twist it down, clamp it down. And then to release it, you just pop this knob open. Now, ours is a little bit more difficult, because we have these little valleys that the quick-release goes inside of, so we have to turn it a couple times to get it undone. more

Hello neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today, we're talking a simple Valterra foam weather stripping for your RV's air conditioner, and it's gonna help seal up a 14 by 14 inch opening. So folks, this does come like this. As you can see, it's got an adhesive backing on it, so I'm not gonna take that off, obviously, for whoever ends up getting this or whatnot. But basically, you would peel these off, peel off the backing, and these come in four different pieces here. They're 3/4 of an inch thick, and you simply would take the backing off, and then you would make a square just like the picture here around the AC roof opening. more

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this CURT OEM fifth wheel hitch legs for the Ram towing prep package, has a 30,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2013 and newer Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks that have the eight foot long bed and the factory installed underbed towing prep package. Now, this custom base is specifically designed to attach to the receivers in the Ram's truck's factory installed underbed fifth wheel towing prep package, and it will adapt the CURT 25,000 pound and 30,000 pound fifth wheel hitch heads to fit the Ram factory system. I did wanna just pop up an insert here to show you there's one of the hitch heads and that hitch head is designed to drop right inside here and then bolted into place. more

Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2022 Honda Ridgeline, we're gonna be showing you how to install the REDARC custom-fit adapter harness. Before we do that though, let's just check this out and make sure it's going to work for you. So right off the bat, what REDARC has done is made a plug-and-play-type harness for their trailer brake controllers. So this is going to work with the REDARC Tow-Pro Liberty, which is what we have installed on our Honda here today. It'll plug in to this portion there, and then this will plug into your factory connector, which is located behind this panel. more

Hi neighbors and friends, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the ceiling garnish for your Ventline roof vent, specifically a birch white color. So folks, this interior trim piece will actually install like this up through the roof of your motor home or enclosed trailer and it's gonna give you a nice finished look to that roof. It is custom made specifically for the Ventline vented dome roof vents and they basically say, or it's written, that it telescopes or slides in and out of the vent to fit the range of roof thicknesses. So although it looks like there's two layers here, it's actually one piece. You see it's smooth on this side and basically yes, you could push it up higher as needed or lower it as needed and that'll accommodate a lot of different thicknesses. more

Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2024 GMC Canyon, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Roadmaster towed vehicle battery charge line kit. Before we do that, though, let's just check this out and talk about why it's a good idea to use something like this. So with the battery charge line kit, what it's gonna do, whenever you're hooked up to your motor home and you're flat towing your truck down the road, it's going to more or less trickle charge or maintain your truck's battery. And this is something I always recommend for any flat towing setup, not just the Canyon in particular, but all of 'em 'cause it's cheap insurance, honestly, at the end of the day, and I say that, you know, because a lot of these late model vehicles, you know, a lot of 'em have electric-assisted components like brakes, steering, so on and so forth. So you know, if yours is equipped with that it's a good idea to have proper battery voltage so they can operate, you know, as they should. more

A Closer Look at the Yakima Fishing Rod Carrier Replacement Fishing Rod Support Assembly- Video
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the replacement fishing rod support bracket for your Yakima TopWater carrier. So, over time, just from being used, you can experience some damage with your bungee cord or the foam padding, or maybe even the bracket itself may become damaged. This is actually a replaceable part and you're just gonna replace it using the included Yakima torque's wrench. You can make adjustments to your TopWater using these different points on their bottom, but this is how you're gonna switch it out. Just gonna use your wrench and remove the bolt on both sides. This is gonna be a pretty straightforward installation. more

A Closer Look at the Yakima Fishing Rod Carriers Replacement U-Bolt Assembly- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the replacement U-bolt assembly that works both for the Yakima TopWater and the Yakima LockNLoad carrier. This basically is just the replacement part for your contact that holds the bottom part of your carrier on top of your crossbars. Over time, the rubber padding in here can kinda wear down just from usage and just time. It is a quality material, but it is a contact that's under pressure, and it'll wear out. Also, you could have issues with the threading. Over time, if you're reaching over on a high point, you could cross thread and may need to replace your U-bolt. more

Now this is a seven-way power adapter that'll manage the power output from your tow vehicle going to your Vision S RV camera. Now, this will interface with your vehicle's power management software to provide the correct level of 12 volt power to your RV cameras. Basically what you'll do is plug this directly into the seven-way connector that's on your tow vehicle, and then you'll plug your trailer connector into this end. more

Hi everyone. Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at this CURT E16 fifth wheel hitch kit, and we're gonna see how it fits on our 2022 Ford F-450 with the factory towing prep package. Now I say kit because obviously this comes with the E16 fifth wheel hitch, but it's also going to come with these adapter rails that allow your industry standard rail fitting fifth wheel to attach to that factory towing prep package that might be present in your Ford F-450. It's essentially just an adapter that's included with this kit. Now it's worth mentioning that CURT does make a version of the E-Series fifth wheel hitch that it's time to go directly into that factory towing prep package. more
