Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the best trailer hitch options on a 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan. So we have three hitches here that I find are the best hitch options when choosing one for your Tiguan. And a lot of times hitches kind of just look the same. So if you're looking to purchase one you're probably going, well what's the difference between X, Y, and Z And we're gonna break that down for you. And we have the three here, one being the Draw-Tite, next we have an etrailer and then finally, we have a Curt. Now the first thing you're probably gonna notice out the gate is this Draw-Tite does look a little bit different and that's because the receiver tube is in line with the crossbar where the other ones are a little bit lower. more

Now it is an inch and a quarter, so you are going to be a little more limited in what type of accessories you can use, over a hitch that has a two inch receiver tube opening. Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan- Video
Ryan: How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan, we're going to be taking a look at and showing how to install the CURT Class 2 1-1/4" trailer hitch receiver. Now this is going to work great for you, especially if you already have those 1-1/4" accessories or if you plan on just primarily using it for a bike rack. And since it is a little bit smaller in diameter, in my opinion, it's going to look really good on the back of the Tiguan. It's just not going to take up so much space, and blend in really well.Since this is a Class 2, it's going to have that 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" opening. It's also going to have a reinforced collar, not only for extra strength, but it's also going to help give the hitch a more complete and finished look. more

Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan- Video
Ryan: How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver. Now the main thing that separates this hitch from the other ones has to do with its appearance. In my opinion, it's just going to look a little bit better, and that's because it's going to come out through this opening here in the back of our bumper rather than underneath the bumper. And that in turn is also going to give us better ground clearance as well.So not only is the hitch going to look really nice, it's also going to be extremely versatile. And that's because since it is a class 3, we're going to have that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, and that's going to allow us to use tons of different types of accessories and ball mounts.Whatever we really want to use, we should be able to find something that'll work with this hitch. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan C13381- Video
Ryan: How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan, we're going to be taking a look at and showing how to install the CURT Class 3 2" trailer hitch receiver. Now right off the bat, one of the things that's going to separate this one a little bit compared to the Draw-Tite that's available is this one is going to be just a little bit more visible. It's going to hang down below our bumper, which isn't really an eyesore in my opinion. Like I said, you're just going to be able to see more of that receiver tube. As compared to that Draw-Tite, which is going to come through this opening here, it's just going to be tucked up a little bit closer to the body of our vehicle, and in my opinion just give us a little bit more of a clean look.But either way, not really going to take away from the looks of the back of your Volkswagen. more
