Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitches available for the 2013 Kia Optima. We'll start with our Curt class 1, this is going to be part number C11025. This is an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter class 1 hitch. It's going to be followed up with our Draw-Tite same specs there, inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter class 1 hitch. This part number is 24940. To start with we're going to see our hitch pretty much all the way across the rear of the vehicle where our cross tubes are. Today, on this 2013 Kia Optima, we're going to install part number 24853, from Draw-Tite. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on our Optima. Next, we'll give you some measurements, and help you out with selecting some accessories such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From top of receiver opening down to the ground will be about 10 inches. And from the center of the hitchpin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about 3-5/8 inches. The first step in our hitch install is to get the vehicle ready. To do that, we're going to need to lower the exhaust. Now we're going to use a simple strap to help hold our exhaust while we lower it. With the strap holding our exhaust, we can go ahead and remove this hanger right here. more

From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 4-1/4 inches. From the top of the inside of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 10 inches. This will assist you in selecting accessories such as a bike rack or cargo carrier. more
